Church unity must run deeper than occasional gatherings or shared preferences. God made people who were dead in sin alive through Christ, then joined them as one body with one Spirit, Lord, faith, baptism and hope. This shared identity makes unity essential without erasing the different gifts and personalities God gives. Humility, gentleness and patience put that unity into practice, while bearing with others means helping carry their pain. Because God rules over all, His people can forgive, pray and love without needing control.
