6 years of sobriety from alcohol has taught me a lot about myself and the ways that I still cope and create distraction through substances like food and social media.
Sobriety has taught me a valuable less about how one commitment can change the entire trajectory of your life, but even on that new path , new challenges will arrive.
If you are sober or even sober curious please know that there are plenty of others who are with you on this journey. There are definitely moments of feeling isolated, but the result of a steadfast and unwavering commitment to self brings with it an embodied feeling of self love that alcohol promises but never delivers on.
If you are on the journey of sobriety please drop a comment. Would love to hear more about your story!
