We also made a stop at the famed Loveland Castle, and fell down a deep rabbit hole of the city of Cincinnati’s connections to the infamous Civil War era
Nearby to the Loveland Castle in the Mound heavy region of the Little Miami River is the site that we visited on the tour that has long been known for the numerous sightings of a local frog cryptid known as the Loveland Frog.
But our Cincinnati cryptid tour did not end there, as we visited on of Cincinnati’s 7-hills…to another reported cryptid sightings location, this time with a badger
This particular hill where a badger cryptid is allegedly known to loiter…brings us back to the Society of the Cincinnati….Once again in the city that held such
And speak’n of Rome….and the last stop on the tour of the esoteric and/or occult history of Cincinnati…Eden Park. Where in Eden Park for the better part of the last century a statue once stood…a gift from the nation of Rome to the city of Cincinnati…a statue of Romulus and Remus – the two characters that star in the origin tale of Rome. Sadly, the statue was destroyed during the Mostly Peaceful riots of the summer of 2020. However, the base of the statue still exists and it clearly reads a gift from Rome….a gift from the old City of 7-hills to the new City of 7-hills, Cincinnati.
Lastly, on our Eden Park adventure we discovered a monument…and I in no way, shape, or form planned this discovery – albeit I was accused of such…a monument to a fella named John L. Vance – a distant cousin of mine here in Clan Vance. Apparently, this Vance fella was a figure who played an integral role in the economic development of the rivers and waterways thru Cincinnati, which at one point in time did serve as a major metropolitan city on account of the
