The Cleveland Browns practiced with the Carolina Panthers on Wednesday in preparation for each teams preseason opener on Friday. The practice featured mostly starters who will not be playing in the game. Shedeur Sanders continued his work with the 2's and 3's which is fine as those will be his working cast Friday night. Sanders has been the most talked about fifth round draft pick in NFL history but come Friday he now gets to control the narrative.

Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders has shown nothing but patience as he has waiting for a bigger opportunity. Well that patience has been rewarded, Sanders is expected to finally see the first team reps many have been hoping for Wednesday ibn the joint practices with the Carolina Panthers. Sanders is also expected to start the preseason opener Friday night while Kenny Pickett and Dillon Gabriel will be held out.

The Cleveland Browns returned to the practice fields for training camp on Friday, and once again Shedeur Sanders outplayed his fellow rookie quarterback mate. Sanders while not always wowing has shown the ability to take what's given. Dillon Gabriel got off to a slow start and then just seemed to trying to make up for it as opposed to just taking what was there to be had. Micah parsons and terry McLaurin may have asked for trades but no need to give it lip service until it looks that they may actually be available.

Cleveland Browns training camp day 7 wrap-up. Martin Emerson confirmed out for the season and will have surgery on his torn achillies. Wide receiver Mike Woods has been released with injury designation of his hand. Browns currently have two open roster spots. Carson Schwesinger has been a star to this point of training camp, he's in on literally every play. The quarterbacks have had their ups and downs which is the expectation of rookies at this point of camp. Offensive tackle Dawand Jones left practice early having issues with the heat.

Cleveland Browns training camp practice #6 comes with some somber news, cornerback Martin Emerson appeared to have suffered a serious knee injury in a non-contact drill. No official word just yet but Emerson was carted off the field. Practice overall was flat but rookies Carson Schwesinger and Mason Graham continue to look the parts of high drafted rookies.

With Cleveland Browns quarterback Kenny Pickett currently out of practice the opportunity for larger roles for Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel were there and both took advantage. Sanders threw several quality balls and Gabriel looks to be improving on his accuracy and has been looking smooth in his roll outs. Diontae Johnson seems to be in a good spot personally and it is showing in his play.
