On this Gotta Watch The Tape from cleveland.com, Scott Patsko and Ellis Williams dig in hard to preview the Browns' playoff push against Pittsburgh.
First, Scott takes the Browns defense vs. the Steelers offense. Is running back James Conner a player the Browns should fear? What does it mean that Mason Rudolph is starting instead of Ben Roethlisberger? And could this be a game for the Browns' defensive line to dominate?
Then Ellis analyzes the Browns offense vs. the Pittsburgh defense. Is Baker Mayfield's last game against Pittsburgh even worth studying? Could this be a game for the Browns to hammer their wide zone run game again? And with no Cam Heyward and no T.J. Watt, will the Steelers generate any pressure?
Thanks for joining Scott, Ellis and Doug Lesmerises on this pod in the Orange and Brown Talk feed all year. Happy New Year.

The Browns are dealing with more COVID-19 issues, but is there actually more good news than bad for them right now? Mary Kay Cabot, Dan Labbe and Scott Patsko answered that question in our Thursday podcast.
They also talked about what Sunday's game means for Baker Mayfield and did some over/unders. Then, Mary Kay posed the quesion about whether this season is a success or not if the Browns lose on Sunday and miss the playoffs.

On this Gotta Watch The Tape from cleveland.com, there's something a little different. Doug Lesmerises is joined by special guest Brandon Thorn, who tracks sack stats that nobody else does at his newsletter, trenchwarfare.substack.com. Thorn watches every sack in the league, and then grades the sacks of all edge rushers, assigning ratings based on what type of lineman the rusher beat, on what down it occurred and how special it was compared to the average sack, among other things.
That means he spends a lot of time analyzing Myles Garrett.
So Doug and Brandon talked a lot of Garrett, but they also got into former Brown Emmanual Ogbah and current Browns Adrian Clayborn and Olivier Vernon. In the end, Brandon talked about exactly where Garrett fits among the best pass rushers in the league.
Scott Patkso and Ellis Williams will be back for a typical Gotta Watch The Tape on Thursday, but for now, enjoy the special sack insight from Brandon, who can be found on Twitter @BrandonThornNFL.

The Browns lost linebacker B.J. Goodson to a positive COVID-19 test on Saturday, but the fallout went deeper than Goodson. They also lost Jacob Phillips and the top of their receiver depth chart in Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins, Donovan Peoples-Jones and KhaDarel Hodge.
Mary Kay Cabot and Dan Labbe talked about how the Browns will deal without their receivers against the Jets on Sunday, why the game is still being played and more in this emergency podcast.

It's our super holiday edition of the podcast today -- two pods for the price of one because we won't have a pod for you on Friday morning. So treat this like your Christmas meal and consume it in courses if you need something to listen to on Friday. There's a perfect stopping point at the ad between segments 2 and 3.
In the opening segment, Mary Kay Cabot, Scott Patsko and Dan Labbe talk news of the day in what you would normally hear on Thursday. Ronnie Harrison, Myles Garrett and should the Browns be expected to win the AFC North next season?
Then, in segment 2, Darryl Slater of NJ.com join us to preview the Jets.
(This is a good stopping point if you want to save something, by the way.)
Segment 3 is our picks pod. Mary Kay, Doug Lesmerises, Ellis Williams and Dan are joined by Football Insider subscriber Bob Houlis to pick NFL Week 16 games and the Browns-Jets game.
Lastly, Mary Kay, Ellis and Dan do an extended life on the beat segment where we tell some stories, including some celebrity encounters for Mary Kay and a couple of travel stories.
