Salvation is a free gift of forgiveness, new life, and eternity with God, received by confessing Jesus as Lord and believing he rose. Nothing earns it, which also means nothing un-earns it. The blood on the doorframe covered the household regardless of what was happening inside, and the Spirit is that covering now.

Telling God's voice from your own starts with one test: does it align with Scripture. A prompting that contradicts what God has already said is not from him, however strong it feels. He is willing to repeat himself, and most people quit listening too early. Stay in the position a little longer than planned.

The women found the tomb empty and were told he had risen, and the disciples still walked home talking about the loss. Attention defaults to bad news, and it distorts what is actually happening. Easter is the good news that goes first: the body is not there, so nothing has to stay stuck.

A move of God is not something to stumble into. In the week before the cross, Jesus cleared the temple, and being called out is part of being formed rather than a reason to leave. Fasting, prayer, alertness, and trusting that God is already present are how the soil gets ready before anything grows.

John tells the water-walking story with almost none of the drama the other Gospels add, and the boat may have been close to shore the whole time. God often works in a way that looks ordinary. Waiting for a billboard is how people miss the signs already in front of them.

Jesus asked Philip where to buy bread when he already knew what he was going to do. God knows the provision before we know the need. Philip's instinct was to list the reasons it could not work, which is where most of us start. Logic is one option, and faith is the one that sees the miracle.

Work is not an obstacle to faith. Proverbs says to commit your work to the Lord and he establishes your plans, which makes excellence on the job a witness rather than a distraction from one. Paul calls present trouble light and momentary next to an eternal weight of glory, and that perspective changes how a week feels.

When the hard teaching cost Jesus most of his followers, Peter gave the only honest answer available: where else would we go, since he holds the words of eternal life. Careers and even families get chosen over Christ all the time, and both of those are temporary. His words are not.

A man lay by the pool at Bethesda for thirty-eight years, and Jesus asked whether he wanted to get well. John always writes on two levels: the paralysis you can see and the condition you cannot. Something worse than a mat is staying in the same trajectory. The invitation keeps coming even after fifty refusals.

Empty deception is a twisted truth that never fulfills, and a philosophy can sound good without being godly. Faithfulness with a single portion comes before any double portion, which is what the tithe is for. Ephesians 3:20 says God does immeasurably more, so ask for the portion and the purpose.
