The church is a wonderful gift, it’s a community and support.  And what we often want is for the church to be comfortable, yet since the church is made of people who are very different and also flawed (as we all are) being the church together can be uncomfortable at times.

John 2:12-24

We’re used to and generally prefer a comfortable Jesus who says and does things that comfort us, but a true picture of Jesus also included the fact that many of the things He said and did make us uncomfortable if we confront them honestly.

Ephesians 6:10-23

As followers of Jesus, we are called to be strong and stand firm in our faith through whatever comes our way, but our strength is not from ourselves, but from our God who equips us.

As followers of Jesus, we are called to be obedient to God and to those in authority over us.
