The definition of digital literacy has changed dramatically over the last couple of decades. Although one report found that teens spend about seven hours a day on their phones, employers have learned that some young people have a lack of computer skills. Eric Magidson is an IT consultant and professor of Computer Information Systems at Central Oregon Community College. He recently wrote about this issue and why policymakers should step in.
