Are you stressed about money because groceries, bills, and everyday expenses keep increasing? Are you trying to trust God financially but still finding yourself worried about how you're going to make everything work?
In this episode of Organize Emotional Stress with Angela Nicole, we're talking about money stress, financial anxiety, biblical stewardship, and trusting God during difficult economic seasons.
Financial stress is affecting many women. According to 2026 research from the National Endowment for Financial Education, 59% of women reported that everyday living expenses such as groceries, utilities, and transportation were causing them financial stress. Research from Barna has also shown that 56% of practicing Christians scored low in financial flourishing.
Having faith doesn't mean we pretend financial pressure isn't real. Faith gives us a way to respond to it.
In this episode, I'll help you put your faith into action by looking at practical ways to reduce financial stress. We'll talk about eliminating unnecessary bills and subscriptions, finding free ways to enjoy your life, examining your spending, and practicing biblical stewardship with your time, treasure, and talents.
We'll also look at what the Apostle Paul teaches us about learning to be content while waiting for our circumstances to change and what Jesus teaches about trusting our Heavenly Father to provide.
And if you're a single mom carrying the financial responsibility for your household, I have a special word of encouragement for you.
Scriptures referenced in this episode:
Philippians 4:11–13 — Learning contentment

What does it really look like to help someone clean up the messy places of their life without carrying their dirt home with you?
In Part 2 of Clean Up the Crevices, I continue the personal story that started with a dirty kitchen and became a powerful lesson for me about repentance, discipleship, accountability, judgment, healing, and the Body of Christ.
Sometimes helping someone isn't sending them a devotion or telling them you are praying for them.
Sometimes you have to put on the gloves, grab the bucket, and be willing to get into the crevices with them.
But there is another lesson:
Change your clothes.
You can love people. You can serve people. You can help people through difficult and messy seasons. But you need the wisdom to know when not to carry someone else's dirt back into your own heart, home, and relationships.
And then the Holy Spirit brought the lesson back to me again.
Before I pick up my rock, I have to deal with my own log.
Being honest about our own sin does not mean calling someone else's wrongdoing right. Accountability still matters. But as followers of Jesus, we must be willing to ask God to search us first.
So, for now, I'm dropping my mental rock and asking:
Lord, what is hiding in my crevices?
We end this episode in prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to search our hearts, expose what needs to be exposed, and give us the humility and courage to repent.
If this episode helped you recognize some of the hidden emotional stress or unresolved conflict in your own life, I invite you to go deeper with me in my Organize Emotional Stress & Conflict Workshop.
Together, we unpack the major stressors affecting your life—including relationships, family, finances, emotional overwhelm, and unresolved conflict—and begin developing practical, faith-centered strategies for moving forward.

I believe healing comes where honesty with God begins.
Sometimes God will use an ordinary experience to reveal something extraordinary about the condition of our hearts.
In Part 1 of Clean Up the Crevices, I’m sharing a personal experience that started with me helping a friend clean a home that had been left in terrible condition.
I was disgusted. I was frustrated. And if I’m being completely transparent, I was judging the people who left the mess behind.
As I scrubbed the stove, refrigerator, cabinets, and years of dirt hidden in the crevices, the Holy Spirit interrupted my thoughts and turned the mirror toward me.
What happens when God pours the hot water into the hidden crevices of our lives?
What comes out when circumstances expose the attitudes, pride, judgment, selfishness, disobedience, unforgiveness, and other things that may be hiding beneath a clean Christian exterior?
This episode is about Christian self-examination, repentance, spiritual growth, healing, and allowing the Holy Spirit to search the hidden places of our hearts.
Psalm 139:23–24 says, “Search me, O God, and know my heart…”
Before we focus on somebody else’s dirt, sometimes God wants to show us what is hiding in our own crevices.
Listen to Part 1, then join me for Part 2 as I continue this story and share what God showed me about discipleship, helping others through their mess, knowing when to “change your clothes,” and dropping our mental rocks.

Hi, I'm Angela Nicole—a Minister, Conflict Resolution Specialist, Stress Management Coach, and a woman who has walked this road herself.
I reached a point where I realized that although I was trying to heal, my stress wasn't decreasing. Instead, I found myself becoming increasingly impatient and frustrated, especially in my parenting. That realization forced me to stop looking only at what had happened to me and begin asking a different question:
"Lord, what is happening inside of me?"
That honest conversation with God changed everything.

This is a space where pressure is replaced with purpose, and overwhelm is met with God’s wisdom. Your prayer life will be renewed. Your spiritual breakthrough is unfolding. Hi ladies, I’m Angela Nicole—mom, Gammy, minister, confidant, aunt, entrepreneur, and leader. I’ve been married twice and have raised eight children—six boys and two girls. I understand what it feels like to carry responsibility, expectations, and emotional weight all at once.
I exhausted myself. I fueled my anxiety. I watched my fears come true. And in the pursuit of being great, successful, wealthy, and significant, I lost precious emotional bonding time with my children.
After my life and family utterly crashed, I began to hear God differently. I realized I already had what I was striving for—but it needed to be defined His way. I returned to God’s blueprint, shifted my focus, repented for chasing the world’s version of success for my Christian life and calling, slowed down my ambitions, and allowed myself to heal what had quietly attacked my identity.
Sister, I made it through—and now it’s my turn to help you.
This podcast is where God’s voice meets your conflict.
Where His truth speaks into your stress and anxiety.
Where His will gently realigns your purpose.
We will cry. We will laugh. We will grow. We will experience breakthrough—unless I haven’t had my coffee that day… and that part won’t be your struggle 😄
Your sense of purpose is reachable.
Days not filled with anxious, racing thoughts are attainable.
A heart and mind no longer clouded by unhealed family experiences is necessary.
This podcast is your place.
Whether you’re walking, driving, working with headphones on, or cooking dinner, it’s time to slow down, tune in, and listen—so you can hear God speak directly to you. Not her. Not them. But you.
As always, your review helps me reach the first few pages of the Apple Podcast. Please download and share with a woman in your life who you know can benefit from biblical stress management.
