As this chapter begins, the whole earth has one language, 106 years after the flood. Pastor Lloyd explains God’s intent that humans not be too closely congregated. In Chapter 11, we see that man has the capacity to build a city reaching to the heavens, wanting to make a name for themselves, corrupting and violating God’s directive to spread out. They knew God but didn’t glorify Him as God, so God scatters them. Pastor Lloyd helps us see how these roots of rebellion are manifested today.
