Original Understudies

In this episode we delve into the supernatural through the inspiration of our friend Xander.

Still super grateful of the Quick Six for our Intro music.

The Quick Six - Get To It

This episode would not be possible without our Mastering Engineer, Toivo Kallio.

Jeffrey Thompson - DO NOT LOOK HIM UP!

James Heaney - OriginalUndersstudies.com

This is the first episode hosted by an Understudy other than James. This show is not intended to have a set cast anymore than it is intended to have a standard Host. Overtime, the goal is to have a rotating host every week to see how each person approaches the role.

Additionally, we will forever be grateful to the Quick Six for our Intro music. The Quick Six - Get To It

Kristen Kelly brought not only a great suggestion, but also a bit of inspiration. She refused to give up on improvised comedy in podcast form... I am certain this was not the cast she expected, but the goal of the Original Understudies is to overcome such expectations.

Additionally, we will forever be grateful to the Quick Six for helping us finally get some appropriate music. And finally, this episode would not be possible without our Mastering Engineer, Toivo Kallio.

I am so excited to share this week's episode, partly because it is a really funny one, but also because we have new music. The opening song is from a band I am a really big fan of and after careful consideration they have given me permission to use their song "Get to it" from their album County Live. I was listening to the album and when this song came on I knew it was a great fir. It features some amazing Sax.

A very special thank you goes out to Toivo, who has helped produce this episode. All of the improvements to the sound are thanks to him, and all the shortcomings happened in the process of recording. I will get better and better at this as we progress with the show.

In our third episode we introduce a handful of new Understudies, but are joined with a very familiar voice.

Here it is, The pilot episode of Original Understudies.   We used a single suggestion from Allison Kessler Colby to inspire the entire show. It is kinda like an uroboros of comedy as we jump off in conversation about the suggestion, and when our scene ends, we begin a new conversation to inspire the next set of scenes. Rinse and Repeat...   Thank you for your continued support through Patreon. As you may have noticed, I have paused all payments while we are beginning the new show.   Suggestions are going to work a little different and being a Patreon will not bring you to the front of the que. It simply would not be a fair perk for anyone as suggestions are going to be utilized a little differently.    However, I will be reading every email that comes in and using the suggestions to improve the show.   For suggestions on how to make the show better please email me at [email protected]   Here is the cast for the first episode, and the links they shared in the intro     Leah Kilpatrick www.leahkilpatrick.com   Mary Doodles www.instagram.com/marydoodles   Morgan Christensen www.youtube.com/Gamefront   Atul Singh instagram.com/atultime Cole Stratton
