Born in Cuba, Pita began working as a hairstylist in the fashion industry in the early 1980s.

With more than 30 years of experience, Pita has created looks for Michael Kors, Versace, YSL, Prada, Valentino, Dior, John Galliano, and more both on the runway and in campaigns. Orlando is featured regularly in Italian, French, and American Vogue, and W.

He’s collaborated with photographers Mario Testino, the late Irving Penn, Steven Meisel, and Craig McDean.
Orlando has been named one of the most influential people in the world of fashion by W Magazine.

His celebrity clients include Selina Gomez, Madonna, Janet Jackson, Tina Turner, Julianne Moore, Beyoncé among many others.

He even had a guest spot on the television series Sex and the City.

Pita resides in New York City, where he opened his salon, Orlo, in 2004
