I got a Facebook Message from Mike Damon, “The Godfather”, that I should meet Amanda Coleman who is known in Law Enforcement as “Irish Angel”.
Amanda is from Ireland so I reached out and she told me that she was coming to Boston maybe we could meet in person. I met her and her Boston-based team at Sam Walkers and had a good time talking with her Board members and supporters. I met people who worked in Law Enforcement that were just as committed to helping their fellow officers out as we Veterans are when it comes to PTSD and other issues. Amanda and I agreed to meet later that week to talk in person.
I wanted to talk about what Irish Angel was doing now. This organization has been advocating as a non-profit for a while now and I thought it was interesting that this woman from Ireland was here in the U.S.
Amanda talked about the need for more support for Law Enforcement, EMS, and First Responders. We talked about how military and law enforcement differed in that many times we in the military don’t go home at night when a shift is over. We are deployed away from home whereas law enforcement and first responders must work to not bring the job home daily.
Currently, Irish Angel is working to gain more support to fund their programs. There is a lot of work underway which is why Amanda was in the U.S. I have made it clear in the past and now that I will always support those on the Thin Blue Line. I learned that change starts with one person.
Thank you for talking with me Amanda, and I am looking forward to supporting the work Irish Angel does on behalf of those who serve.
Irish Angel is growing and working to support those on the front lines.

Every now and then you come across someone who may be on a different path but is on the same journey as you. Guy and I crossed paths and have been supporting each other for a while now. I am excited to have him on Oscar Mike Radio.

I was a HAWK Missile Operator in the Marine Corps. HAWK is a mobile, medium-range, guided surface-to-air missile system. When I served it was designated MIM - 23 HAWK (Homing All the Way Killer). Made by Raytheon, HAWK was and still is used in several countries around the world. And this is how I got introduced to Ulrich.
I was looking for a video of the missile leaving the launcher when Ulrich Kroemer reached out to me on Facebook. As we talked, I d
I had a great time talking about differences in radars, target engagement, and site setup. He had static radars, ours we always towed from site to site.
Currently, Ulrich enjoys time with his grandchildren and when is not chasing them around keeps HAWK alive by being a part of the Reservisten Arbeitsgemeinschaft (RAG) Flugabwehr, a private group composed of HAWK Veterans who keep HAWK alive by displaying a working battery for people to see.
Danke Ulrich for talking with me and as we say in HAWK if it flies it dies!

This story, which is 100% true, is taken from the Daily Beast article written by

Airman 1st Class (E-3) Katelyn Lucille Day, 29 was sentenced to prison for 10 years for the attempted murder of her husband Tyler Day, 28 per the court filing https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/21177521-acm-39962.
Katelyn and Tyler met in the spring of 2017 and were married that summer. After they got married, Katelyn had Tyler added as a dependent and took out a $100,000.00 life insurance policy on him through the military.
What Katelyn didn’t know when she married Tyler was, he was having an affair with his ex-girlfriend JM and expecting a child with her. Katelyn found all this out two weeks after marrying Tyler all while pregnant with his child.
At this time Katelyn and JM began to communicate over FB Messenger (The Group’s name was Hot Mess Express) about Tyler’s problems. There she vocalized her desire in wanting to kill Tyler.
Katelyn tried several avenues to kill Tyler.
However, the Air Force Office of Special Investigations was investigating this and got JM to help with the investigation. The Air Force had JM give Katelyn a bag of white substance she thought was fentanyl because she wanted to poison Tyler’s energy and workout drinks.
The Air Force got a warrant and searched Katelyn’s house and found the bag. She was arrested and is in jail waiting on her appeal.
This is another case where adultery, the military, and parenthood make for sad but true situations.
No one wins here. And as in other shows, I wonder if anyone in Katelyn’s unit or NCOs knew if she was having difficulties. If they did, did they care enough to help her get through this? I don’t know, and this is certainly not the Air Force’s fault. It is sad for her child who is an innocent victim.
