And we’re back on Oscar Race Checkpoint with a more traditional episode filled with film festival & awards season news stories + a whole bunch of new Oscar Trailers. We also dedicated full segments to Joker’s Oscar chances, Best Actor, International Film, and the Hollywood Film Awards. There are also some fun discussions about Mr. Scorsese, how cuckoo the Lighthouse might actually be, how Marvel might campaign or NOT campaign it’s contenders, and how Netflix is getting even more creative with its distribution.

Then we do a survey of the film festival landscape, highlighting what we know about Rome, Middleburg, and AFI, and we cover some reactions from NYFF.
