Gerardo “Ral” Rosario was two-time Olympian swimmer and Philippine Sports Hall of Fame. He competed in the Summer Olympics in 1972 at München, West Germany and in 1976 at Montréal, Canada. In the 1974 Asian Games in Tehran, Iran, he won two silvers in backstroke, 2 bronze in freestyle relay, and 1 bronze in medley relay. While in 1978 in Bangkok, Thailand, he won two bronze in medley relay and freestyle relay.
