This week on the OTCBPodcast we welcome back the Commissioner of the NLL, Nick Sakiewicz, as well as Dan Arestia from the Lacrosse Flash.

First off, the Commissioner joins us to talk about NLL Face-Off Weekend which will be on December 3-4 with six games across the league. The league also unveiled its new divisional alignment and play-off format. Nick has been very busy, so as always we're grateful for his time.

As for Dan, well he doesn't consider himself an "insider" but we'll try and get as much inside information as we can. With the PLL entering the All-Star break, now seemed like a perfect time to catch up with whats been going on down south.

This week on the OTCBPodcast- we, are, back! It's been a long hiatus thanks to Covid but with the light at the end of the tunnel getting brighter, that means we are in the home stretch to the start of a new NLL season.

So this week, we welcome in the first coach in Panther City franchise history, Tracey Kelusky and, first overall pick in both NLL and PLL entry drafts- Jeff Teast.

Kelusky is a a Hall of Famer that wears his passion and heart on his sleeve. PCLC has already established a foundation after the expansion draft and now has his sights set on Free Agency and the entry draft. We'll get in side his thinking about see if he'll slip up and let any secrets slip.

Teat has been destined for the NLL for quite some time now and while it's been on pause due to the pandemic, there's no doubt he itching to play some lacrosse. Currently he's suiting up for the PLL Atlas and is chomping at the bit to get inside Nassau Coliseum wearing a RipTide jersey.

This week on the OTCBPodcast we wrap up 2020 with two great guests and two fantastic conversations.

First up, Kyle Devitte from Inside Lacrosse joins us to talk about the biggest news of the week. The PLL buying up the MLL came as a major surprise to everyone and there are still plenty of questions. KD has been covering both MLL and PLL in-depth over the years so he's got a few things to say.

'Medicine Game' is an eye opening tale of life on the Reservations with main character Tommy Henry as he struggles with being a leader on his lacrosse team, a son, a brother and a boyfriend all while dealing with the pressures of being a young man who feels the weight and darkness of depression.

Powless uses his own experiences as a young lacrosse players to bring you up close and personal with each and every character in the book. A former first overall NLL draft pick, Powless is now a youth counsellor working with the younger generation who are looking to break the stereotypes and enjoy all life has to offer.

This week on the OTCBPodcast we're joined by Chet Koneczny and Jamie Shewchuck.

First up, Chet has been living out in the Maritimes for the past few years and has seen first hand the growth of lacrosse on the East Coast. However, we need to do more than just put sticks in kids hands; so along with the Halifax Thunderbirds, Turtle Island Lacrosse, the Black Lacrosse Players Alliance and the Indigenous Players Lacrosse Association they have announced a new partnership to Include and Empower.

Then we'll head to Denver, where Jamie has been living for over a decade. A former 2nd round NLL draft pick by Colorado, Shewy would be named to the NLL's All-Rookie team, en route to an impressive pro career. But after he was done, he wanted to stay involved so one conversation with his GM was all it took to start his broadcasting career.

This week on the OTCBPodcast we welcome in the newly elected President of the PLPA, Zach Currier

Along with his #2 Reid Reinholdt, Currier will now look to lead the Players Union into year 35 with better communication, a willingness to grow and a drive to see the players reach new heights.

It's not going to be an over night switch, nor an easy one- but the players are united together and are already working with the league to get ready for the proposed April start date.

Foy is the CEO of Inside Lacrosse and has been on the beat covering the Iroquois Nationals saga in relation to the 2022 World Games. In the past week we've see Team Ireland vacate their position for the Nationals as well as a few more hurdles seem to have bene cleared which will allow the torchbearers of our sport to compete at the World Games. So how did it all happen so quickly, and what does it mean for the future?
