This week, Mucci judges which Japanese cute-monster-multimedia-franchise is better: Pokemon or Digimon. Lando makes a case for the darker storytelling of Digimon's anime, while also taking us through important moments in the history of the franchise, such as its beginnings as a Tamagotchi-like toy and its PS1 video game that sells for around $300 today. Pat advocates for Pokemon based on its massive financial success, its iconic characters, and Pokemon Go, which ate up a couple of our cohosts' time when they should have been studying for the bar. Will Mucci find that Digimon are the champions, or does he know it is his destiny to crown Pokemon the winner?

December 28, 2022 The People v. The Scooby Doo Gang
Scooby Doo, Shaggy, and their Mystery Inc. coworkers (or co-conspirators?) love to solve crimes. But are they guilty themselves of committing certain crimes in the process of nabbing the costumed criminals that would've gotten away with it if it weren't those meddling kids? Prosecutor, Lando, seems to think so. Pat takes on the defense for the crew -- don't call them a gang! Mucci tries to keep his courtroom in order and wonders if the worst crime of all is the canned laughter of the original series.
