  • Aliens v. Ghosts, Part 2

Lando's appeal of the ruling in episode 2 of season 1 is finally heard, with Judge Pat again moderating as Lando continues his steadfast advocacy for the belief in alien life. Mucci, on the other hand, finally brings an actual argument on the side of ghosts. Both are determined to be more well-researched in this episode -- and in this season. Will this episode finally put the nail in the coffin of the controversial aliens v. ghosts debate?

  • Fitting In v. Standing Out [BONUS Mini]

Following the events of iPhone v. Android, Mucci and Pat debate whether it is better to follow the crowd or pave your own path. What are your thoughts on the matter? Is it better to fit in or stand out? Lando wasn't around to judge this debate so we need your help!

  • iPhone v. Android [Mini]
In this mini recorded at Metropolitan Brewing, Lando and Pat debate whether iPhones or Androids are better smartphones. Pat, being the only one who has extensive use with both, gives Mucci an idea of the customization and integration with other products that he's maybe been missing in his years as an iPhone user. Lando makes a passionate plea for the iPhone based on its user-friendly nature and lack of bugs or viruses. Will Mucci (who badly needs a phone upgrade) be convinced to break his decadelong relationship with the iPhone to start using Android?

  • OTR Presents: Ghost Stories (A Halloween Special)
For this very special Halloween episode, OTR forgoes the debate and instead asks the audience which of their three guests has the best ghost stories (or perhaps more accurately, ghost encounters). First, Ash tells us about her many encounters with ghosts since college, including a girl in a tutu, a blonde woman, and "Hand-man." Then, Ryan calls in with his ghost encounters in his family home and in his condo (which happens to be across from a funeral home), which he characterizes as mostly neutral and, in recent years, mostly technological. Finally, Andy shares his experience of a terrifying night-time drive down Crawford Road in Yorktown, VA.
The guys are at a loss for who among their great guests had the best stories, so let us know on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) or via email who you thought had the best ones! • Halloween Bonus: Tarot Card Reading with Ash
As a Halloween bonus episode, and a prelude to next week's Halloween special, our guest for this episode (and one of our guests next week) is friend of the pod, Ash! Next week, she will be sharing some of her ghost experiences, but she also brought tarot cards and did a reading for Lando, Pat, and Mucci. With themes of new romance, fatherhood, and disintegration, what lies in store for each of the boys? • Man: Good v. Evil
OTR gets philosophical again as Pat and Mucci visit the age-old debate: Is man essentially good or evil? Pat argues that, at our core "meats," man is basically evil, because evil could not exist without mankind. Mucci, on the other hand, tries to convince Lando that we are evolutionarily adapted to do good, and that only man can make actual good, altruistic decisions. Listen to find out whether Lando is swayed by those arguments, as well as the incredible kindness of friend of the pod (and podcasters), Huy. Follow us (IG: @otr_debate, Twitter: @OTRdebate, FB: @otrdebate) or email topics you think we should cover at [email protected]! • Deep Dish v. Thin Crust Pizza [Mini #1]
While Pat is away on a road trip, Lando and Mucci field a challenge from a fan, Daniel, who specifically calls Mucci out to debate pizza - thin crust or deep dish? Mucci argues for the uniquely but perhaps touristy Chicago staple of deep dish, while Daniel advocates for the thin-crust, tavern-style pizza that many locals prefer. Will Dan's hyping of Rockford staple Gerry's win the day, or will the "more everything" on such pizzas from Lou Malnati's and Uno help Mucci demolish a fan? • Movies: 1980s v. 2010s
In this episode, Lando and Mucci go back in time to advocate for the relative quality of movies in two prior decades: the 1980s and the 2010s, respectively. Pat has Lando and Mucci pick the single most emblematic sci-fi, horror, and comedy movies of their respective decade, and has them face off against one another. Pat will have to decide which decade had the more creative and interesting sci-fi, if "prestige horror" beats some of the 80s horror classics, and which decade's movies made him laugh more. • Marvel VS Capcom
The fate of two worlds hangs in the balance, as our heroes Lando and Pat argue their case for which company is better: Marvel or Capcom? In one corner is Lando, in the esteemed company of Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, and their horde of Hulked-out heroes such as Spider-Man, Namor, and The Avengers. In the other is Pat, putting up a valiant (street) fight with his team of Leon Kennedy, Chun-Li, and Phoenix Wright. Will Lando make Mucci Marvel? Or will Mucci’s nostalgia for greasy arcade cabinets and spoopy games played in darkened rooms give Pat the K.O. this week? • The Devil’s Advocate
Faust. Robert Johnson. Matty. Throughout history, people have sold their souls for all kinds of reasons. One of them, our good friend, contracted with the Devil to get better at a video game called Destiny. Pat, representing the Prince of Darkness himself, has brought Matty to court to enforce his end of the bargain. Will Mucci be able to save Matty’s soul? Or will Judge Lando condemn him to Hell?
