Our Foundations Podcast

This episode applies a Christian perspective to how to live under an immoral system without supporting it or attacking it. How does the Christian submit without support? Yeshua teaches that this world, its systems, and its rulers are all His enemies that He will eventually defeat. They also serve a purpose however and to fight them is to fight God's own tools. Our job is to submit when possible and refuse when it directly contradicts biblical principles. This episode provides some of the context, scripture, why and how of this.

There are many strategies for achieving more liberty in our lives and in society writ large that do not involve participating in immoral systems or means. The first discussed is agorism and the counter economy. Next is the Second Realm perspective with TAZ's (temporary autonomous zones), pseudonyms, crypto anarchy, and proxy merchants. Vonu is next (VOluntary Not vUlnerable) with a focus on self sufficiency and building resilience from the coercion of the State. Mutual aid groups and mutual assistance groups are brought up following that. The next strategy comes from Vaclav Benda and Vaclav Havel out of the Charter 77 movement. This is the Parallel Polis strategy that defines the building out of a parallel society through a list of "pillars" of the Parallel Polis. Finally, I mention the original Church and their strategy of building out a parallel society as a response to their opposition to being involved with the State (Rome), mainstream culture, and the dominant institutional religion (Judaism).

This is part 2 of my interview with Pete Quinones. We continue discussing the two strategies that we respectively have been promoting. This is a great discussion and exploring these two perspectives is definitely worth while.

Pete Quinones from the Free Man Beyond the Wall podcast comes on the show to discuss strategy related to increasing liberty in our society. His view is focused mostly on a Machiavellian approach applied to local politics. My stance is that a community oriented agorist strategy would typically be the most effective method. We discuss some of the pros and cons of each and exchange differing opinions. This is the first half of the interview which will be followed by the second and final section in the next episode.

There is a definite difference between secular agorism and the kingdom of God. I some ways, they are opposites, as the kingdom of man is the opposite of the kingdom of God. In other ways, they are extremely similar such as in strategy and principle. There is also a way to combine the two into Christian Agorism. These topics are discussed as well as an example of an agorist group in real life, what they are doing, and how to get started yourself.

This episode is all about the philosophy of agorism and how it ties in to the teachings of the original Church. Samuel Edward Konkin III is quoted and covered as well as some scripture as well as many other quotes from The Politics of Obedience, Larken Rose, Vernard Eller, and more.

Light is representative of the side of the Natural Order we are to pursue and it should also be representative of us. Going back to the example of the Early Church, this episode looks at some of their writings for references to being light. This is mostly commentary on Matthew 5:14-16, Ephesians 5:8-17, 1 Corinthians 5:6-13, and 2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1. The passages in Matthew are directly from the teachings of Yeshua that the Early Church was based on and the others were from letters sent to and for some of the first congregations of early Christians. This gets us into some applications of what is means to live according to the Light side principles of the Natural Order while living in a world of gray and darkness.

I cover some common symbolism that is loosely tied to the Natural Order including light, dark, land, sky, sea, underground, and the tree. Next, I assess some common topics and issues through the Natural Order framework such as abortion, health, war, environmentalism, progressivism, basic human rights, government, relative morality, and the mRNA vaccine.

There are aspects of the natural order, our reality, that are not very positive. These are in contradiction to the Light Side principles. Chaos opposes Order, Death opposes Existence, and Predation opposes the principles of Time. These are all explored in this episode and the Decalogue, aka the 10 Commandments, are overlaid onto the Natural Order to see how the principles compare.

Here is The Natural Order, defined. Since the term has been used a lot on this show and since it is the basis for all morality and reality, it seemed like an important topic to address. This first episode on The Natural Order is focused on the Light Side of the Order. The principles include Life, Love, Sacrifice, Cycles, Progression, Causality, Hierarchy, Differentiation, and Order. There is much more elaboration and explanation to draw out what these really mean and examples of how they express themselves in our reality, whether in nature, in humanity, in history, and other examples. The next episode will cover the Dark Side and some further expansion of the framework of The Natural Order.
