Hello Purposeful Family!

A destination is 1. the purpose for which something is predetermined or destined. 2. A place to which one is journeying or to which something is sent. 3. A place worthy of travel or an extended visit.

The focus of today’s podcast is preparation. God wants to set us up for success. He wants us to pass down His commandments. Reading God’s Word and following His guidance is the best strategy. We can fulfill our purpose here on earth through prayer, faith, and trust.

This is one of those episodes that begs us to give advice to our younger selves. {Hindsight wisdom} Yes there are things I would love to do over, but at this stage in my life, the only thing I can do is move forward in wisdom. God has a purpose for each of us. We are made whole in Him. Our first step is to acknowledge what is missing.

What have you said yes to? I said yes to self-care and enjoying the moment. In today’s podcast, I shared a story I read about a lumberjack/woodsman and his wish to spread the Word of God.

We don’t know who is watching us. Or actions can have negative or positive effects. The things we do in our spare time add to our life story. Is your story worth telling? I believe it is. Think about what you are doing! Your actions are speaking to everyone who comes in contact with you.

Hello Purposeful People!

In today’s podcast I talk about the person ‘I Can’t’. This is the first and last name of who is blocking us. The words we repeat to ourselves are heavy. We have a choice to think through our situations or give up because we want to move on to something else we ‘can’t’ do. Each day I fight to not say ‘I can’t’. In this podcast, I hope my whiny voice will urge you to fight your ‘can’t’ as well.

Bible Reading- Ephesians 4:25-32

Decisions are difficult to make. Responsibility is the definition of good decision-making, we impact the lives of others sometimes based on a fleeting emotion. When we are angry, bored, sad, or happy we give power to those emotions if we do not think beyond them. My hope is that with each of these podcasts, prayer, and God’s light that we will each be lead to read God’s Word. We can motivate each other to walk in the purpose God has given us.

Focus Scripture: Proverbs 3:1-8

Hello Purposeful People!

In today’s podcast, Strange Behavior, I share one of the many bad decisions I’ve made. While I am not proud of my approach I am grateful to have learned a lesson. I gained clarity. I know what it means to not lean-to my own understanding. Now I  recognize when my emotions are trying to take over. My heart belongs to God and as time goes on He shows me how much I am His.

My Brothers and Sisters in Christ if you understand the grace and mercy God extends to us will you please join me in showing more of it to our neighbors? If we can all make a greater effort to allow others to see Christ in us, we can make a powerful impact. Love begins at home, that means becoming disciplined with reading God’s Word and studying His Character.

Are you willing to take 30 minutes each day to read the Word of God out loud? Read to yourself, your spouse, mother, father, sister, brother, or even your pet. Let the Word change you from within. If you’ve never done this before, may I also suggest starting with the book of John in the New Testament? This small amount of time can replace a tv show or even scrolling through social media.

Change is not easy, but doing it together strengthens our bond within the body of Christ.
