    Bible Reading: 2 Kings 4:1-7

Tasha Cobb Leonard Fill Me Up God

    Hello Purposeful Family,
We are in a position to see a great miracle performed by the prophet Elisha. A widow has come to him for help. How does this apply to my life? I know I have areas I need God to fill for me. He can fill us with His grace, mercy, love, patience, kindness. His fruit of the Spirit.
Whatever we are facing we can go to our Lord. We must be willing to accept the solution He provides.
Has God given you a way to fix your problem but, you have yet to obediently follow His instruction?
It’s time to journal, meditate, and pray. Communicate and confer with God. Get confirmation on your next move, your next assignment, your next project. Go to God empty of what you think you should do and listen. Clear your mind to let God pour into you let His Word be a continuous fountain to drink from.

Suggested Bible Reading: 1 Kings 13:1-34
    Focus Scripture: 1 Kings 13:8-11,14-19; Matthew 17:21

Criticize definition- to consider the merits and demerits of and judge accordingly. To find fault with: point out the faults of.

    Hello Purposeful Family,
Today we are going to pick up where we left off last Tuesday; how to politely take criticism. (I’ll Take it Under Advisement)
→A quick review. The Bible helps prepare us for criticism by educating us on the types of people there are. The Proverbs places these people in two categories the foolish and the wise. King Solomon further breaks it down with many examples.
The take away from I’ll Take it Under Advisement could be that we listen to everyone and ask what can we learn. Then our immediate reaction is to pray and ask God if in fact this information was from Him.
→What did God tell us to do? If He has spoken to us before, what makes us think He has given someone else the authority over His instructions?
God is enough. We can trust His word.

    Hello Purposeful Family,
Today’s podcast is a slight departure from the normal format. I had an outline prepared to share, but God had a different plan. I am so grateful to walk in obedience. It is awesome to feel His presence and follow His command. I pray that this podcast will encourage, inspire, and motivate you to take a stand against the “bears” in your life.

    Greetings Purposeful Family!
I’ve read that vision without wisdom is an unfinished project. How many unfinished things do you have right now?
This week will center around investment. Investing in ourselves, our careers, and most importantly our relationship with God. It is always a good time to evaluate what we’re doing and who we’re following.
The scriptures listed below are the frame of this podcast. Criticism is something I had to develop strength in. I was already an introvert. My coming out of my shell was difficult. Taking criticism under advisement was the next step. I needed to trust God to put mentors in my life who saw the bigger picture of this ministry.
I pray you will take this podcast, under advisement. Identify areas the enemy has a foothold. Review the advice you’ve received from loved ones. Seek God’s guidance in all you do.

    Hello Purposeful Family!
I hope you will take time to read the Song of Solomon in its entirety.  King Solomon’s word are filled with imagery. It is hard not to feel love reignited within your heart. We can remember why we fell in love with our spouse.
Love can be informative if we openly communicate our thoughts. Informing our spouses, friends, family members of our hidden intentions. Love is a verb and should be see as well as heard.

    Scriptures in this podcast:
    Luke 14:16-20; Luke 1:37; Proverbs 28:13; Psalm 100:4

    Hello Purposeful Family,
We easily excuse our role and lay blame at the feet of everyone. However, doing so hinders our growth. As you listen to ‘Blame it on the Hustle’ think about ways you are blaming society, people, or circumstances. We can not change our past. It will always be there. We have the choice, to start living differently. Christ made the ultimate sacrifice for us. His love, grace, mercy, patience, and kindness was met with opposition and cruelty. If the work Christ did on the Cross for us is for our salvation, don’t we owe it to Him to live according to His will?
We are all invited to join God through Christ to live life eternally with Him. Reading through Luke 14:16-20 we may think that we would never pass up such an invitation. To be with God in glory?… Who refuses that? We all do when we fail to let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and malice be put away from us. It’s time to show up and allow God to cleanse us of our sins and make us whole in Him.
    ~Torrie

    Greetings Purposeful Family!
We are connected to the True Vine! That connection gives us access to our Redeemer. We can talk directly to our God.
In today’s podcast I suggest taking one day and schedule each hour. It’s easy to lose focus of what is important. When we write down exactly what we do with our time it puts our lives into perspective. I pray that by performing this simple task, you find more time to do things of greater value.

  • Self Care, the Journey

    Focus Scripture Mark 10:46-52

    Greetings Purposeful Family!
Selfcare is important. It is all encompassing. We need to be mindful of our bodies. The physical and spiritual health will heavily depend on what we consume mentally.
In today’s podcast I give three examples of how to maintain our mental muscle. Developing reverence (a deep respect;love) for our whole self is a step in the right direction. We can allow God to work on us from the inside out. Once God has rebuilt us, we must continuously seek Him. Let’s work with God by:

    * Being disciplined to think constructively. Prioritizing God over our fleeting emotions and human desires.
    * Being in a constant state of reverence.
    * Using prayer as therapy.

Our minds need daily nurishment. When we feed off of God’s Word and apply it to our lives we can make positive changes.

    Bible Passages: 1 Chronicles 22:6-10; Genesis 6:9-22; Exodus 26:1-5; 1Kings 7:13-22

    Hello Purposeful Family,
Building from a place of hostility is hard. We can have opposition from outside forces such as our parents, friends, or coworkers. David waited, but while he waited he gathered. He set Solomon up for success by securing funding and materials to build the Lord’s temple. King David wasn’t concerned with getting the credit. His motives were that of praise and honor of God.
In today’s podcast I share a story that any one of us may be able to apply. We keep passing up on something simply because we don’t believe it is ours to have. As you listen think about what you may not have simple because of your attitude towards it.
