What a mighty God we serve! There is no hiding from our Lord and Savior, yet we will “try it”! I have hidden many things. Using the light Christ gave me I was able to come out of my darkness. 

The amazing things we are able to do can scare us.  However, someone knows what we can do. The enemy wants to keep us in confusion, idle, and mute. The insecurities that always come rushing to the forefront of our minds, is the enemy holding us back from our greatest opportunities. 

Let’s come out of hiding and seek Christ our Lord!

Consider how we live. We are to be intentional, live life on purpose. We can be good stewards of our time. Everything we do can be glorifying to God if our intentions are to be pleasing to Him. This is vital to our spiritual growth and will prevent us from acting out of anger, arrogance, pride, or fear. God is listening to us. The important part of communication is to listen with expectant hope for His answer so we can act accordingly.

Hello Purposeful Family,

 

Bible reading for this episode is Psalms 106:6-12. This passage led me to ponder my attitude. I struggle to be at peace when things are not going as planned. These verses cause me to stop and think. We are responsible for our conduct. God is always with us. All we need to do is control our reactions. Now that may be easier said than done, but God will give us what we ask for through prayer.

The next time you find yourself cursing your neighbor, being passed over for a promotion, or doubting God’s purpose for your life; stop and ask yourself: ‘How can I put this in my thoughts?’

Greetings Purposeful Family,

Our minds seek justice for us in ever situation. How do we follow God’s command in the midst of injustice? Today’s podcast was inspired by a recent conversation. As I prayed with a dear friend we began to turn fear into excitement. Once the Holy Spirit placed that emotion in our hearts we began giving God praise. No matter what we are going through our God is just and fair. We choose how we feel and react. I pray you will use this example as a guide to improve your mindset.

Bible Reading Psalm 104:31-35

Order in the Court Scriptures used:

God knows our frame He remembers that we are dust. For He pities those who fear Him. Psalm 103:14 

To remember God’s commandments and to do them. Psalm 103:18 

God appointed the moon for seasons and the sun knows when to set. Psalm 104:19

We work diligently at the work God has provided to sustain us and we labor until evening. Psalm 104:23

God causes the grass to grow for the livestock and plants for man to cultivate. Psalm 104:14

Today I am breaking from the normal format and reading Galatians 5:1-26 and Galatians 6:1-18 NLT 

I pray this will be edifying to your spirit. May you be encouraged to read God’s Word and apply it to your life. We are responsible for our conduct. Our example is Christ Jesus our Lord. He loves us so that He came down to redeem us to Him.

Hello Purposeful Family!

Commitment is defined as an agreement or pledge; to do something in the future. It is the state or an instance of being obligated, being dedicated to a cause. A commitment means we are loyal, responsible, and faithfully pledging our allegiance to something or someone.

Defining who I am committed to made me pause. I thought about all of the “stuff” I put before God. Because I worshipped worthless idols I wasted precious time. I am grateful for God’s grace and mercy. He renewed a right spirit within me. 

Brothers and Sisters I pray you will take time to evaluate your relationship with our Lord. Ask yourself: Have I broken my commitment?

Hello Purposeful Family!

Are we running from our purpose?  Running scared because we are distrustful of a community God wants to speak life into? Are we running from those who don’t look like us, talk like us, dress like us, listen to the same kind of music, pray the same way we do? Are we running from those whose religious affiliation isn’t exactly the same? Do we feel inadequete to testify to Christ’s salvation? Christ died for ALL… not just a predetermined number. There is room in His kingdom for all those who believe. If you were chosen to be a vessel to carry the living word of God to the hearts of those ripe for the harvest, are you going to run to it or from it? What is your shade of yellow?
