Prayer

The Lord is my light and my salvation. The Lord is my fortress protecting me from danger. I will not be afraid I will not tremble. I will remain confident. My heart has heard you Lord and I bow humbly to talk to you. Teach me how to live Yahweh. Lead me along the right path. I am confident I will see your goodness. Lord, I will wait patiently, bravely, and courageously for you. When I am lost I know you will conceal me and hide me in your sanctuary. You will lead those to me in prayer and rescue me even from myself. Lord thank you for Your written Word that I may learn its invaluable lessons. Continue to teach me in Your holy righteousness. Be our mighty sword and inpenatrable shield Abba Father for we need you always. Amen.

Scripture Focus Proverbs 6:16-19

Arrogance is an attitude. It can be mistaken as self confidence. Confidence is a good. Today’s discussion sinks in to the pride we develope when we worship ourselves. God is at the center and deserves to be exalted above all.

The practical warnings the book of Proverbs gives us is to be studied. We can hold these truths in our hearts and know if what we are thinking or doing goes against our Lord and Savior. The ‘what if’, would be gone because we would want to conduct ourselves with integrity at all times.

Focus Scripture Romans 6:19-23

Germs. Toxins. Fumes. No one likes to be in the presence of something that will cause illness. Yet, each day we make a choice to either live with God or die with the enemy. Our attitudes and decisions affect more than ourselves. What we absorb is wrung out on everyone we meet. We show love by being mindful of what we deposit into friends, family, and neighbors.

Start a new routine. Ask yourself these three questions:

* What can I learn?

* How can I grow in this moment?

* Am I glorifying God with my behavior?

In this life, we must be strategic. The enemy has tactics and we as believers need to be ready. Arm yourself with the Word of God. Allow His wisdom to be absorbed into your spirit.

Focus Scripture Romans 6:15-18

Hello Listeners!

Have you ever done something halfway and thought you would get a full result? I know I have. There are lessons I am still paying for because of disobedience. I thought I was doing things the right way. Actually, I was just doing them ‘my way’. No rhyme or reason just full-blown stupidity and lack of self-control.

But God! He turned my life around. I could be more with Him than I could ever be without. The change in perspective was what I needed to reclaim the life God blessed me with. While I can hear the whispers of the enemy; I yield to God’s bold Words. I follow Christ. Where He leads me I will go.

Our Lord and Savior provide for us in ways we could not imagine. As I studied this passage further I was reminded to not take my blessings for granted. Pay attention to your wandering eyes. It may be the enemy tricking you out of the fullness of God’s purpose.

Focus Scripture: Genesis 3:1-7

Hello Purposeful Family!

Have you ever gotten angry? I deal with anger in a few ways. The first and most effective is closing my mouth. I don’t want to say anything I will regret. Being intentionally silent also opens my ears to listening or replaying what I’ve heard or seen. I am then able to react accordingly.

However, there are different types of anger. The holy righteous anger that wells up from within our spirit is what I am talking about in today’s podcast. I pray this helps you define the ‘who’ your anger should be directed towards.

Hello Purposeful Family!

My prayer is for others to be able to merge these podcasts into your own Bible study. God’s Word provides healing for our hearts. This is a powerful truth to behold. Being part of God’s plan brings us joy. It erases the hurts we have endured and gives us peace. The distractions of this world are unhealthy for our spirit. Let’s all make the choice to obediently follow God’s guidance and be good stewards of the blessings we receive.
