Dr. Timothy Hill is a Professor at the University of Bath in the UK. Tim co-authored a study that looked at the impact social media use has on our creativity and new passion discovery. The rise in social media use is curbing our boredom, however, as this suggest, boredom is where we start to unlock new passions and hobbies.

This week I found an article highlighting some of the training material that the Federal Government uses for it's Diversity and Inclusion training program. I am all for inclusion and diversity, obviously, right? I mean, I am Mexican. However, as a minority, (almost majority) I do feel a little embarrassed at times at how much effort is being used to include other races or communities while excluding another. Do you ever feel this way? Most of the time the talking points don't feel sincere and the material feels forced.

I also found a heck of an opinion piece on NBC talking about Fat-Phobia in the workplace. The author, Kate, says the 1st of the year is the worst time for people that are overweight. The U.S. Federal Government has banned Tik-Tok across all federal mobile devices. Many states and universities are implementing similar actions. Cyber security officials says that the fast growing application is a cause for concern on the National Security front.

In this podcast I covered the unhealthy relationship between the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and big food corporations. A comprehensive review conducted by Cambridge University uncovered the close financial ties between (AND) and large food corporations. Many clothes made from Polyester contain toxic amounts of BPA. There are a number of investigations underway to validate these claims. Brands like Nike, Shein, New Balance, are all part of this investigation lead by the Center for Environmental Health.
