This week, Josh and Jade review the A24 fantasy film, The Legend of Ochi. The film is written and directed by Isaiah Saxon in his feature film debut and stars Helena Zengel, Finn Wolfhard, Emily Watson, and Willem Dafoe. It tells the story of a farm girl on a fictional Black Sea island who discovers a wounded baby primate-like creature and works to return it to its family while learning their language and avoiding a hunting party.

They discuss the stunning visuals and practical effects, along with the trash sound mixing.

This week on the B-Roll, Josh and Jade discuss season 1 of the Office spin-off show, The Paper. The mockumentary sitcom, created by Greg Daniels and Michael Koman, stars Domhnall Gleeson and Sabrina Impacciatore.

Our hosts also discuss the new Knives Out film, Wake Up Dead Man, set to release on Netflix on December 12th, and talk about Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's new film The Smashing Machine. Now a partner at Gruber & Fisk, she navigates bonkers estate cases and awkward networking snafus. Fans found it charming, though some say the third season lacks the flawless flow of earlier ones.

This week, Josh and Jade take on Eenie Meanie (2025), Hulu’s shiny new attempt at a heist thriller that can’t quite decide if it wants to be a comedy, a drama, or just a very expensive car commercial. Directed by Shawn Simmons (in his feature debut) and starring Samara Weaving, Karl Glusman, Andy Garcia, Steve Zahn, Jermaine Fowler, Marshawn Lynch, and Randall Park, the movie follows Edie, a pregnant ex–getaway driver dragged back into crime by her hot mess of an ex-boyfriend and a gangster who clearly shops at the same tailor as every other mob boss in cinema history.

But here’s the problem: Eenie Meanie stuffs more subplots into its 106 minutes than most TV shows manage in a season. Toxic romance? Check. Surprise pregnancy? Check. Daddy issues, betrayal, redemption, AND a casino heist? Double check. It’s chaotic, it’s messy, and honestly—it’s kind of hilarious for all the wrong reasons. Which, of course, makes it the perfect kind of trash.

This week, Josh and Jade tackle the brand-new trailer for The Paper, Peacock's upcoming spinoff comedy from NBC's The Office, in which a documentary crew focuses its efforts on the Toledo Truth-Teller, a historic but declining Ohio newspaper trying to resurrect itself with volunteer reporters. They also break down Hulu’s official death date (RIP, yet another streaming service we’ll forget existed in the next year). And finally, they dive into Wednesday Season 2, Part 1 — does Jenna Ortega continue to deliver, or is Nevermore Academy starting to feel more like a Spirit Halloween?
