This week on the B-Roll, our hosts, Josh and Jade, discuss cast Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz returning for Mummy 4.

They also talk about the Harry Potter fanfic Alchemised by author SenLinYu. The rights to development were purchased for $3 million, one of the highest sums for a book’s movie rights, not accounting for inflation. Alchemised started out as a novel called Manacled.

In weekly watches, our hosts discuss a number of new films and tv shows including Weapons, which is equally satisfying, horrific, and hilarious.

Josh and Jade review the new Darren Aronofsky film Caught Stealing.

The movie stars Austin Butler as a former star baseball player-turned-bartender who unwittingly runs afoul of New York City's criminal underbelly while pet sitting for his neighbor. Regina King, Zoë Kravitz, Matt Smith, Liev Schreiber, Bad Bunny, and Tonic the Cat appear in supporting roles. The film is based on a screenplay by Charlie Huston, who adapted his 2004 novel.

Our hosts discuss the 90s nostalgia, cinematography, score, and the amazing acting skills of Tonic the Cat.

A sequel to the 2022 film M3GAN and the second installment in the M3GAN franchise, the film stars Allison Williams, Violet McGraw, Ivanna Sakhno, and Jemaine Clement, with Amie Donald physically portraying M3GAN while Jenna Davis voices the character.

Our hosts discuss the treasure and trash in the film, question the number of plot twists (we counted 7!), and outline how they would improve this cut of the movie.

The third film in the 28 Days Later series, following 28 Days Later (2002) and 28 Weeks Later (2007), it stars Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Alfie Williams in his feature film debut, and Ralph Fiennes.

This week, Josh and Jade review the A24 fantasy film, The Legend of Ochi. The film is written and directed by Isaiah Saxon in his feature film debut and stars Helena Zengel, Finn Wolfhard, Emily Watson, and Willem Dafoe. It tells the story of a farm girl on a fictional Black Sea island who discovers a wounded baby primate-like creature and works to return it to its family while learning their language and avoiding a hunting party.

They discuss the stunning visuals and practical effects, along with the trash sound mixing.

This week on the B-Roll, Josh and Jade discuss season 1 of the Office spin-off show, The Paper. The mockumentary sitcom, created by Greg Daniels and Michael Koman, stars Domhnall Gleeson and Sabrina Impacciatore.

Our hosts also discuss the new Knives Out film, Wake Up Dead Man, set to release on Netflix on December 12th, and talk about Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's new film The Smashing Machine. Johnson stars as MMA fighter Mark Kerr, alongside Emily Blunt as Kerr's then-wife Dawn Staples, with Ryan Bader, Bas Rutten and Oleksandr Usyk in supporting roles.
