In 2020, 35-year-old, Economics and Business Administration professional, and amateur athlete from Sau Paulo, Brazil, Neto Concon, co-founded the organization, “Paraty Brazil by Ultra-Trail Du Mont-Blanc” (UTMB). The organization has put a great deal of effort toward bringing the UTMB competitions to Brazil in 2023. As a result of their hard work, the “Paraty Brazil by UTMB” is proud to announce that for the first time, the competitions will take place in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, this September.

She has held the title of Freestyle Champion, multiple times, and was also the first to create and perform a number of tricks in Freestyle Highline. Growing up in rural Tennessee, 41-year-old, Stephanie Quarles experienced an off the grid childhood, without electricity, indoor plumbing and other comforts that most of us take for granted. She began adventuring outdoors at age 4, doing solo hikes through the local Tennessee woods. Stephanie’s 37-years as an outdoor adventurer, include a thru hike attempt of the Appalachian Trail in 2022, and will repeat in 2024, kayaking lakes in TN and GA, mountain biking, and hiking trails in the Southeast.

In college, she played soccer while earning a master’s degree in business management. during college, Val completed Marine Officer candidate school in Virginia, graduating 1st of 400+ in physical fitness. During her Master’s program, Valerie traveled to Japan, Australia, Mexico, Indonesia, Costa Rica, Philippines (where she learned to surf) and New Zealand, where she played semi-pro soccer, and discovered skateboarding.
