Mountain Murders

Outlaws Motorcycle Massacre

Listen Later

In the 1970s, Charlotte NC saw an uptick in violent crime associated with outlaw motorcycle gangs. The Outlaws Motorcycle Club and Hell's Angels were involved in a territorial beef that resulted in shootings, bombings and murders. However, the situation really captured the attention of area law enforcement when on July 4, 1979- 5 people were shot and killed at the Outlaw's Club House in what would be known as the deadliest mass murder in Charlotte history.
