Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with 2021 ISC World Champion and 2019 WBSC Bronze Medalist with Team Canada, Saskatchewan native, Patrick Burns.
Burnsy has had a fantastic career to date and he’s still going strong. The 33 year old has carved his way into being one of the most versatile players in the country. Burnsy is not only a threat on the mound and in the outfield but is also as deadly as a hitter as they come in that batter’s box. This past Canadian Senior Men’s Nationals was a clear indication of that as he hit a whopping .750. We chat about it on here but that’s just insane.
We also chat about him getting his start in the game back in the day, the back to back U19 National Titles won with the Saskatoon Selects, his time at the University of Saskatchewan playing basketball, which included a CIS National title in 2010, of course, that bronze medal at the WBSC’s in 2019, and much, much more.
Outside The Chute sits down and talks to Grand Pre, Nova Scotia native, and Team Canada National Team member, Justin Schofield.
We've remastered this original episode.
We talk about starting out in the West Hants minor ball system, playing as a 16 year old with the Berwick Eassons Intermediate Men's team, winning a Canadian Junior Men's Championship with the Murphy's Fish & Chip Eagles in 2011 and finally moving on to the men's game and having success at the ISC with Toronto Gators and Hill United Chiefs and Canadian Senior level play with the East Hants Mastodons.
Schof was a treat to interview, so sit back, relax and enjoy the first ever episode of Outside The Chute

We’re gonna take a deep dive with Autumn into her career, from getting her start at a young age in California, to committing and attending Idaho State, transferring to Minnesota, the pandemic months, getting drafted, winning the WPF Championship and much, much more. This was such a fun chat, I gotta say.
Outside The Chute is back and Hopey and Framer sit down and chat with past guest Blair Setford. They chat the summer that was in the men's game, starting at ISC qualifiers in Ontario and finishing with the Canadian Senior Men's Championships that took place in beautiful British Columbia.

AJ was such a pleasure to chat with. I’m so happy she was able to take time out of her busy schedule and come on and chat about her career. Gotta thank friend of the show, Ryan Moore for setting this up. This is definitely a good one!
Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with University of Oregon alum, current assistant coach with the North Carolina Tar Heels and current member of the Texas Smoke in the WPF, the one and only, Jordan Dail.
Jordan has had a fantastic career to date. After playing her freshman season at Virginia Tech in 2018, she spent the last four seasons with the Ducks in Oregon. Jordan pitched over 368 innings in 85 appearances, racking up 32 wins, 28 complete games, three saves, 354 strikeouts and made two trips to the NCAA Tournament.
She is now working as a volunteer assistant at her favourite childhood team growing up, UNC and is also getting set to start her pro career with the Texas Smoke in the WPF.
We’re gonna talk to Jordan about getting her start in the game, the journey to Virginia Tech which led to her transfer to Oregon, her personal mental struggles she had with game, the transition to coaching and of course what it means to be a part of the Texas Smoke.

Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with 7 time ISC World Champion, 2015 Pan Am and WBSC World’s gold medalist and ISC Hall of Famer, Ryan Wolfe.
Wolfey had an absolute amazing career. His list of accomplishments are just ridiculous. As just mentioned, besides the 7 ISC World titles and International golds, he’s also an 11 time ISC All World selection, 5 time Canadian Senior Men’s National Champion, 2 time ASA National Champion, do I really need to go on, the guy has done it all. Plain and simple, one of the best to ever play our game.
We’re gonna talk to Wolfey about getting his start in the game, growing up playing in Ontario, joining the ISC circuit in what is arguably the greatest era ever, his induction last year into the ISC Hall of Fame and much, much more.
Wolfey was such a beauty to chat with. I’m sure you’re all going to enjoy this chat just as much as Hopey and I did.

Alyssa spent 5 seasons at Auburn University, where during her time there, she became one of the most decorated hitters in program history. She is one of just six players in program history to record at least 200 career hits, 120 RBI’s and 110 runs scored. Alyssa currently is getting her experience in the coaching ranks as an assistant at Hampton University, while also signing on to play pro with the newly formed Texas Smoke of the WPF.
We’re gonna talk to Alyssa about getting her start in the game, her journey at Auburn, being able to represent two countries on the international stage, signing with the Texas Smoke and much, much more.

With his formation and success of the Florida Gulf Coast League, it has given way to the Heartland Collegiate League, the Music City Collegiate League and the Vegas Collegiate League that all run under the same umbrella, called the American Collegiate League or ACL. These leagues give college athletes the opportunity to continue playing when their college season is over and goes a long way in helping with their development and success.
