"So it's apparent that we're in an era of social media interaction and digital engagement and we live in a world where your cell phone and your online personality are just as significant as your real world being, at least hearing Southern California. So as a cannabis creator I've found it very difficult to reach the amount of people that I'd like talking about the stuff that I talk about. It sucks, man. Because cannabis isn't federally legal, because the stigma is so prevalent, your ability to make money off of your art form for something as harmless as cannabis has been severely inhibited by The gatekeepers of the social media platforms. I'm talking about the Facebook, the YouTubes... these two major players have severe rules sometimes silent rules that prevent creators from reaching their full potential."

"Yo, the strain game is CONVOLUTED. We know that already. And you know it’s Elijah, the digital budtender, and I’m coming to leave my mark on the game. And so, you know, I was puffin on that Bruce Banner from SevenLeaves, somethin nice, and I was like damn, Imagine being so Iconic to the weed game that you get an entire plant cultivar named after you. I mean Bruce Banner isn’t a grower. They named it that because shit is stronger than the incredible hulk, but it got the wheels turning, you know? "
So on today's episode of Outsmoken, Elijah and Meyer discuss the impact different people have had on the cannabis culture with Jack Herer being the focal point. For an industry as regulated as cannabis, securing a license to do cannabis-related business is remarkably difficult. Everyone has their trap dreams of making it out the garage and into a brick and mortar, or maybe even a delivery service! But the harsh reality is that there’s a limited supply of these licenses to go around and not everyone gets a chance to play. We, for one, would LOVE a chance to engage in the legal market products. But we don’t know the heads or tails of how to get a cannabis license here in California. So today, we wanted to discuss how TF are you supposed to get certified out here. Join the Club for another episode of the world's most POTENT podcast as we discuss this classic topic.
Select is dropping their new Select Squeeze, We’ve been seeing Kan-Ade drum up a lot of support in our area lately. There was a time when cannabis-based lean stylr products and other drinkables were maligned by the masses. But the numbers just came in, Iced Tea, Lemonade, and Fruit Drinks have been by far the biggest growers in terms of marketshare in 2020. How exciting! We’re entering the world of the manufactured cannabis product. People aren't working with the raw flower anymore, and the cannatourist would like their handheld. Join the Club as they discuss Drinkables as the new booming frontier in the industry.
Select is a cannabis company that’s pretty prevalent here in Southern California. Their main claim to fame for the first three years has been their distillate cartridges, but they’ve since divested into Live Resin Carts, edibles, and more. They’re one of the few brands to have products in multiple states under a single company umbrella. So, I fire up Charles Schwab, and I get an alert saying that Select, which is owned by Curaleaf brands, is debuting a new product quite unlike anything on the market. They're calling it: Select Squeeze. Now the product is interesting and innovative in and of itself, but what I'm really interested in is the debut. Cannabis is regulated at the municipal level and the state level, which complicates things if I want to enjoy my favorite products in another state. Outside of a few major players like Stiiizy, Select, and Cookies, there aren't a lot of recognizable names from state to state. So on today's episode, we discuss SELECT, Curaleaf, and more! Roll up, tune in, and enjoy the latest on the world's most potent podcast!
This weekend I took a trip down to Woodland Hills Treatment Center, one of the few pre-ICO shops in the greater Los Angeles Area. I've been seeing a lot more of their flower scattered around Long Beach, so I wanted a chance to visit the source and see what their shop was like. Like many of these vertically-integrated shops that grow and sell their own cannabis, they're not into showing off other people's product. They had a highly-curated shelf that I really appreciated! Just Terraform Genetics, Wonderbrett, and THC design for their top shelf. That's IT. And while I know and respect all three of those brands, knowing how many top shelf options there truly are, that's a bold choice for a cannabis retailer. So it had us wondering for today's episode, what provides a better shopping experience, the curated shop, or the one-stop for everything shop?
