Our spiritual unity, and ultimately our Christian witness, is found in the way we respond to suffering for the glory of God.

The way of Jesus often puts us in conflict with prevailing cultural norms. This includes God’s specific design for men and women in the home. Where we can often view ourselves as “little gods” deserving of honor, Jesus frees us to live in ways that honor one another as humble servants.

Our pride ultimately is a restricting authority that enslaves us in a mindset of self-preservation. Christ frees us from that authority and enables us to live in humble submission to our earthly authorities.

Our identity - “who we are” - is often rooted in what we can accomplish and produce - “what we do.” But when we come to realize that God has chosen us as His child, we discover that both our identity and purpose comes from Him.
