It all started with a dream, two dogs, a love for beer, their community and home in Petawawa, and their biggest supporter, wife and mom Tina McNish, which told them to put their best "paws" forward, and stop talking about opening up a brewing company and just do it already! And so in the fall 2019, that's what Richard and Brady McNish did.

You can find Dog House Brewing Company beer across the Ottawa Valley, including in Canex, Maven Catering, Ottawa Valley Coffee and (hopefully soon), in the LCBO, as these two have big (but realistic) dreams and know that you have to start small and work hard in order to make it to the big leagues.

Rick and Brady talk about how they were inspired to start their own brewing company, while paying homage to the historic Garrison Petawawa, while also juggling responsibilities and overseeing the brewery, while offering some pretty incredible advice they have for other businesses owners (open your notepad folks and get ready to take notes!), and plans for the brewery for 2023!

"where are they now" anniversary special, as Steph has quite a success story, starting her career working for a US-based fitness company from home and teaching #PopPilates, eventually starting her own fitness coaching, to creating a full fledged brand and becoming a multi-millionaire business coach... right here in the Ottawa Valley!

Jacquie Kuntze is a serial entrepreneur who doesn't let society's expectations of what a career should look like define her. She has been teaching babes to own their magic through makeup artistry for the past 8 years and is one of the most sought after makeup artists in the wedding industry. This babe also has her own cruelty free and vegan makeup line, is the co owner of Astrid Park camper motel, and is a manifestation queen.

However, Jacquie's road to success has not been an easy one, as she grew up in an abusive household, where she, her mom and brother wound up in women's shelters and almost landed in the Witness Protection Program, relocating from Alberta to Ontario, making Belleville their home until Jacquie moved to Smiths Falls and... well, you'll have to tune in to hear the rest!

Ella's Keeping Company is a well known boutique in Renfrew that was founded in 1999. The addition of "Ella's" came in 2007 when owner Lisa Vincent knew it was time to expand. She attributes her boutique's success to her dedicated staff who connects and creates long-term customer relationships, helping shoppers to not only find what they're looking for, but by making them feel great and empowered, while also leaving the store with a warm feeling.

Lisa shares what it was like opening a gifts and home decor boutique back in the 90's, the different trends she's seen over the years and how acceptable cups and mugs with crude words on them would never have been accepted back then (but yet it's the older generation who's now buying them!), along with why she always wanted to be in the downtown core vs. inside the former Renfrew Mall.
