Liisa Salzmann, a gourmet chef, along with her husband Robert, a certified master pastry chef, relocated to the town of Lanark from Toronto in 2017 and purchased one of the oldest bed and breakfasts that is known as the one of the Crown Jewels in Lanark County and is a monument to the proud history of the community that is Clyde Hall.
From starting out as a home for the Scottish lumber patrons, to an elegant bed and breakfast fit for a king, Clyde Hall’s history, mystery, and mystique, lives on. The building has seen many renovations, events, and travellers and Liisa and Rob have continued the tradition of inviting guests to their elegant country estate for rest, relaxation, fine dining, and special events.
Liisa gives listeners an inside look into Clyde Hall's history, debunks some common Bed & Breakfast myths (like you have to eat with everyone at meal times), and shares what delicious cuisines she and Rob offer their guests!
