Over 700 Clare people are now on a waiting list for audiology treatment.

New HSE figures released to deaf and hard of hearing charity, Chime show the national waiting list has grown by over 32.5% in since 2020, with 24,500 awaiting services at the end of last year.

The charity also estimates that half of those on the list are under 18 years of age.

Director of Communications and Advocacy at Chime, Danielle McLoughlin says the consequences can be detrimental.
