Brian Toone came to RAAM 2017 hoping to improve on his 2015 rookie performance. He did just that, turning in a spectacular ride. Brain talks with us about how he learned from '15 and was able to apply those lessons this year. Brian rode with discipline and mental toughness in addition to his speed and power. As Sarah prepares for the most foot of climb per mile stage of RAAM, we check in with Laurel Darren-Simmons on Sarah's progress to this point.

Laurel Darren-Simmons checks in from the auxiliary vehicle as Sarah rolls through Illinois. Indiana is the goal by Bloomington, IN is the goal by sunrise. While Sarah may be feeling some fatigue and soreness, she continues to maintain both a positive and competitive attitude as she begins her push to the finish.

During the wee hours of this morning, Sarah Cooper crossed the Mississippi River into Illinois. Sarah talks about how meaningful it has been to have young girls coming to the course and time stations to cheer her on, the importance of her family arriving at her few extended sleep breaks, the difficulty of the event and her toughness to continue.
