When someone wrongs you, anger can become consuming. Psalm 37 shows us a different way—not ignoring injustice, but refusing to let it take over our hearts. We’ll look at what David means when he says to “fret not,” “commit your way to the LORD,” and “be still,” and what those commands look like when life feels deeply unfair.

Are we really making disciples—or have we simply become better at talking about discipleship? Bobby Harrington joins us to dive into the difference between a church that runs discipleship programs and a church that actually cultivates a culture of disciple making. We talk about the role of love, obedience, relationships, and mission—and why the goal isn't simply to make better churchgoers, but to help people become more like Jesus and invite others into the same life.
Dr. Bobby Harrington is founding and Lead Pastor of Harpeth Christian Church, just south of Nashville, Tennessee. He is the founder and point leader of
Discipleship.org and RENEW.org. He has written or co-written over 20 books, and he has published over 300 blogs. He lives with his wife in the Nashville area, near his two married children and six grandchildren. He writes in
collaboration with other leaders who champion the ways of Jesus.

Overflow isn't the absence of burdens. It's knowing where to take them. Psalm 55 invites us to trade striving for trust, exchanging anxious self-reliance for the sustaining strength of our faithful Father. In this episode, we reflect on why we carry burdens we were never meant to bear and how a life of continual surrender becomes a life marked by peace instead of pressure.

We live in a world obsessed with image, but God is after something deeper: integrity. Psalm 101 asks what happens when we stop managing appearances and start letting the character of our Father reshape who we actually are. David has some strong words for people who lack integrity, but before we wield them against the world, we have to let them search our own hearts. Because integrity begins with beholding God, weeds out wickedness in our own lives, and ultimately finds its fulfillment in Jesus, the new and better David.

Today Cody Andras joins me and Kate Powell for a conversation on discipleship issues facing women. Together they discuss the importance of intergenerational relationships, the challenges women face across different seasons of life, and why authentic community remains essential for spiritual growth. This episode offers practical encouragement for women and church leaders alike.

Cody has enjoyed serving in women’s ministry and writing and teaching Bible studies for the past fifteen years.
She believes nothing compares to spending time in His Presence, seeking His face, opening up His very living and active Word and asking for Him to meet us, which He is eager and faithful to do! In an effort to encourage women to encounter the Lord in His Word, Cody has written several Bible studies and one devotional, Jesus By Her Side.
She currently stays home with her one-year-old son and continues to write and teach Bible studies as time allows.
