Peggi Hattaway (@CoachPeggi) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has spent her career helping the most vulnerable, including time spent working with children through DCFS. She didn't intentionally seek out to work with women in DV situations when she pursued her love for psychology, but it ended up changing her life in more ways than one. By recognizing parallels between her work & life, as well as patterns popping up from her childhood; Peggi began to accept that she was in an abusive relationship. In this episode of Oversharing Peggi walks us through her realizations, how her marriage ended and where she is today. As a therapist and a patient, she has a lot to share about how even those who are trained to recognize red flags can still fall victim to someone waving them.

PragerU is a conservative media company ran by a man named Dennis Prager who wants you to believe that he's a lot smarter (and a lot closer to God!) than he really is. With the help of some of the most obnoxious names in the game (HouseInHabit, Tucker Carlson, Charlie Kirk, Riley Gaines) PragerU is becoming the "go-to" educational platform for conservative Judeo-Christian values and it has even made its way into the schools of 10 different states and The White House. It is very clear (to us) that the current administration would like Dennis Prager and his fake ass university on a pedestal and we're here to overshare about why we think that is and just how dangerous we find it to be.

We went into this episode with the intentions of interviewing Natalie about her work as a therapist, her platform online where she shares mental health insight, her experiences as a new mother, her relationship with her parents & many other things but instead, we all had a therapy session. From being a young girl watching your mom critique her body in the mirror to crying in the dressing room: we go there on body image. And then we go even deeper and talk about the disconnect that seems to exist for a lot of parents and their (now) adult children.
