Some parts of our story are just messy, aren't they? We make mistakes. Sometimes BIG ones.

That's why I appreciate studying David's life, especially his mistakes. Today, we watch him rely too much on his own thinking - and see the deep trouble that causes. We even find the future King of Israel taking shelter and aligning himself with the King of the Philistines!!!
