J&N are not sure whether they should have played this one before or after the school holidays. When do mums feel most guilt about all the different directions they are pulled in?
In The Show
Nicola’s made up her mind to return to the UK semi-permanently on Saturday. Wow! That was a surprise.
Judith has experienced a kitten-related house sitting low during August but landed on her feet now in blissful peace and quiet.
What’s Fuelled Their Fire?
Judith’s clients bullied her into getting excited about returning to work after the long break by filling up her diary on Monday evening, the first day of September. And Nicola took up the Click Funnels 30 Day challenge and has nothing but marvellous things to say about their software and its ease of use.

After listening to Esther Hicks and Abraham and having some very fast manifestations, Nicola fell to pondering whether spending 20 minutes in the podcast each week talking about problems is the best way to solve them.
In The Show
Nicola’s been to the beach every day, and she’s had a bit of a breakthrough with Cosmote who supply her superfast broadband.
Judith has moved to Surrey where she’s in charge of two black pussy cats. Two people she cares about have been seriously ill.
What’s Fuelled Their Fire?
Judith’s cleared three days in her diary this week during which her attention was pouring cool water on her fire (literally) and trying to keep cool in impossible temperatures in the UK, and Justin Brooke has given Nicola a genius replicable idea to send paid traffic to her best landing page, not her home page.
Focus Of The Week
After listening to Esther Hicks and Abraham and having some very fast manifestations, Nicola fell to pondering whether spending 20 minutes in the podcast each week talking about problems is the best way to solve them. Is Own It banging the drum of complaint each week in the Focus section, which is no way to manifest what you want?
Abraham-Hicks 10 Minute Morning Meditation
LISTEN HERE TO OWN IT #238 | Solving Problems Without Complaint
Words Of The Week
Nicola chooses Sunk Cost and Judith picks Justified.
Project Updates
Judith’s project this week has been to keep herself and the two black cats alive in the heatwave, and Nicola’s got podcast news from iTunes/Apple Podcasts which impacts on the future of Own It!
Apple podcasts updates

Apple Podcasts Search Enhancements

Who Or What’s Impressed
Judith has been introduced to a new binge-worthy show on Amazon Prime called Justified and Nicola was impressed by some excellent boundaries and non-emotional responses demonstrated by a supplier to issues she raised as a customer. It might just have encouraged her to have another go at offering a Done For You service which is what she believes her ideal customer wants.

Nicola was experiencing a difficult and confusing week and no sooner had she reached out to Judith for some help than things began to improve.
In The Show
It has been a cooler week in Stoupa and all her guests are gone, but Nicola’s internet is still not fixed which has made it difficult for her to do everything she wants to online and in her business. And she’s still without a cleaner.
Judith has found Suffolk to be full of bug perils (tiny wasps and big fat mozzies), and also surprisingly social with two outings in six days. That’s a lot for her.
What’s Fuelled Their Fire?
Judith really enjoyed an outing with a long-time colleague in the Waitrose café at Sudbury (!) and Nicola couldn’t find anything whatsoever to discuss in this section this week, which she explains later.
Focus Of The Week
Nicola was experiencing a difficult and confusing week and no sooner had she reached out to Judith for some help than things began to improve. She’s had some challenges but really couldn’t work out what to do about them. Judith and she debate the bigger issue and try to draw some conclusions and what, if anything, is to be done. Start with simplifying the problem, and testing solutions one at a time.
LISTEN HERE TO OWN IT #237 | Dust and Doldrums
Words Of The Week
Nicola chooses Doldrums and Judith picks Language.
Project Updates
Nicola mentions podcast download numbers, generally up, her big project is still on after she tickled the other side into a timely response, no progress on her audio book but she’s invested in some Instagram influencer marketing with gratifying early results in terms of follower numbers.
Who Or What’s Impressed
Nicola enjoyed Ryan Levesque’s interview with James Schramko about RL’s new book Choose.
Judith enjoyed Howard Jacobson on R4’s Point of View, talking about The Language of Leaving.

Listener guest Clare Hanbury takes Own It! with her when she travels all over the world with her charity, Children for Health.
In The Show
Nicola has been without internet for nearly a week but her new website went live today. Yay! What do listeners think? She’s invited those in the Own It! Facebook Group to let her know.
Judith has moved into gorgeous spacious luxury in beautiful Suffolk and is looking after a lovely little furry soulmate called Gracie who greeted her with vomiting up her breakfast.
What’s Fuelled Their Fire?
Judith is staying in the home of a writer which has caused her to think long and hard about communication in the written word, books, instructions, information and more.
Nicola is excited to see whether the new version of her website performs better than her old one when it comes to Google Ads.
Focus Of The Week
Listener guest Clare Hanbury takes Own It! with her when she travels all over the world with her charity, Children for Health. She shares why she enjoys the podcast on her travels in Mozambique and beyond, and the four things she’s learned from listening which she’s converted from a business context to being of value to her in the social sector: partnership, measurement, taking care of herself and marketing/selling.

LISTEN HERE TO OWN IT #236 | Clare Hanbury: Own It! Goes to Africa
Words Of The Week
Nicola chooses Patience and Judith picks Words.
Project Updates
Nicola is very pleased with increasing podcast download numbers, and Judith has no time for projects having moved house twice in eight days.
Who Or What’s Impressed
There are some lovely social goings-on in the 38 degree temperatures in Stoupa this week which are impressing Nicola, a street-dancing competition plus the ninth Maniacs race which involves both running and swimming. Judith is enjoying the partnership of Andy Murray and Serena Williams at Wimbledon, plus a programme on BBC iPlayer which is two shows about the history and workings of the Bank of England.

When J&N first learned how to invest in property and teach others how to do the same, life was simple. Buy and hold or buy and rent out.
In The Show
Nicola describes the chaos and carnage at Kalamata airport during holiday time as one of the “Seven Circles of Hell”. You are alright coming in, apparently, but be warned…long queues in the sun to have your passport scanned on the return trip.
Judith has moved into some serviced accommodation near Gatwick for eight nights, which property has prompted this week’s Focus.
What’s Fuelled Their Fire?
Judith is inspired by re-sharing a memory on Facebook from a year ago, a post by Robert Craven who is the Founder of Grow Your Digital Agency.
Nicola has been on the receiving end of what looks at first glance to be very bad news – Facebook shutting all her ad accounts. So she’s motivated now to study all the other ways of paid ads, Google AdWords, YouTube Ads etc.
Focus Of The Week
When J&N first learned how to invest in property and teach others how to do the same, life was simple. Buy and hold or buy and rent out. But in 2019 there are so many other ways to make money from property ownership now, including holiday rentals, Airbnb, nightly rentals for those in housing need, agents becoming tenants and selling the accommodation on to the highest rental bidder, rent to re-rent, and serviced accommodation to name but a few.
Judith and Nicola talk through some of the options they’ve seen and heard about and encourage thinking about how to improve your ROI by regarding property as a business, not just the more traditional investor/landlord. Perhaps you can even be hands off in your property business?
Words Of The Week
Nicola chooses Adapt and Judith picks Idiot.
Project Updates
Nicola reports that Own It! podcast download numbers are up to 3534 for June over 2675 in May and the most popular show was Louise’s Getting Out of Your Own Way.
Judith is discovering that moving house endlessly is a project in its own right and that householder’s fussing and fretting and lengthy written instructions are often in inverse proportion to the length of the stay.
Who Or What’s Impressed
Nicola received some timely tips from her mentor James Schramko and Judith from Abraham-Hicks’ daily e-newsletter.

Nicola is re-launching Swagger & Soul and wants to know what Judith thinks about it. She’s mainly all for it and explains why.
In The Show
Nicola’s sold her first item of #StoupaLife merchandise, manifested a surprise affiliate win and is looking forward to visits from her family and friends across the summer. She’s really booked up now.
Judith has enjoyed some spooky goings-on in the bedroom, found somewhere to live for next week and is slightly worried about triffids in the garden. What will the returning householder think?
What’s Fuelled Their Fire?
Judith did a VIP day with a favourite long-time client, which both found exhausting but productive.
Nicola has received a couple of fabulous testimonials from two of her Vegas pals after working their way through her 21-day Be Everywhere Online challenge and getting some great results and sales.
Focus Of The Week
Nicola is re-launching Swagger & Soul and wants to know what Judith thinks about it. She’s mainly all for it and explains why.
LISTEN HERE TO OWN IT #234 | Bigger Thinking
Words Of The Week
Nicola chooses Potential and Judith picks Anonymous.
Project Updates
Nicola is working on the deal of her life, white-labelling Be Everyone Online for her first client, the first of several or even many she hopes. And she reports that Own It! is back in the Top 100 at #64, just where Judith likes it, sandwiched between Tony Robbins and other male marketing/personal development luminaries.Judith is thinking of writing three books, two of which would need to be anonymous. How do you market anonymously??
Who Or What’s Impressed
Nicola appreciates film-maker Matthew Toman and his upcoming movie The Evolution of Success. Judith likes Lorna Bevan of Hare in the Moon Astrology.

After last week’s show where she suggested to Judith she should immortalise her sayings and testimonials on t-shirts, Nicola had a brainwave over the weekend and turn that round on to her own opportunities…
In The Show
Nicola has enjoyed a lovely summer week in Stoupa, helping a local business set up their Facebook Page, swimming most days and a wonderful night out with live music and Greek dancing. She’s also had a dream about she and Judith doing a big gig together with 800 attendees in a darkened room which Judith saw as Own It! LIVE.
Judith has become the Wasp Whisperer, enjoyed frantic Monday, visited a sick friend on Tuesday, made it to the local beautician on Wednesday, is expecting the hairdresser on Thursday and a three client calls before a well-deserved Friday off.
What’s Fuelled Their Fire?
Judith’s received a letter from America from a would-be client who enjoyed her book and is missing her newsletter. She’s an artist who offered to send her a gift of some Angel Warrior cards from her Etsy Shop.
Nicola’s had a brainwave about how to monetise her Stoupa Life group which she goes on to describe in Focus of the Week.
Focus Of The Week
After last week’s show where she suggested to Judith she should immortalise her sayings and testimonials on t-shirts, Nicola had a brainwave over the weekend and turn that round on to her own opportunities, namely how to monetise her Stoupa Life Facebook group with #StoupaLife and StoupaLifeShop.com. She’s created her first simple range and talks the listeners through choosing between Print on Demand service providers and why she picked Etsy over Shopify and Woo Commerce.
Words Of The Week
Nicola chooses PoD (print on demand) and Judith picks Precipitation.
Project Updates
Nicola has been asked by Audible to re-render her recordings due to overly long pauses at the start and end of each chapter and Judith talks about whether or not Own It! should take August off this year, given that she knows Nicola doesn’t enjoy a hiatus.
Who Or What's Impressed
Judith is enjoying secure message app Telegram, and Nicola is loving the second series of Killing Eve.

Louise Fletcher is an artist who, against her own better judgement, came to London to participate in a somewhat woo woo workshop put on by fellow artist Alice Sheridan, and Georgina Noel..
In The Show
Summer has arrived in Stoupa and so has Nicola’s sister, Sarah, so there’s been lots of beach time, tavernas and book swaps as the tourist season gets well and truly underway. Nicola is planning her own travel to Dublin in August and for her daughter Phoebe to come back with her for a week on the beach after that trip.
Conversely, it has been very rainy for Judith in England, lots of water coming out of the sky and none out of the taps as she found herself in the middle of a water disaster story trending on Twitter.
What’s Fuelled Their Fire?
Judith really enjoyed recording four more listener guests last Friday, particularly meeting today’s LG who had been a self-confessed silent lurker until stepping up to talk to Own It! And also the fury expressed by another LG because fury denotes passion and passion gets things done and changed.
Nicola has methodically worked out what it is about her vzine which offends Facebook Ads and that gives her a good way forward now. Audible initially rejected her audio of the Money Gym book on the basis the intro and outro had excessive birdsong noises, as does this podcast (but we love them!).
Focus Of The Week
Louise Fletcher is an artist who, against her own better judgement, came to London to participate in a somewhat woo woo workshop put on by fellow artist Alice Sheridan, and Georgina Noel.
She confesses that she crossed her arms and rolled her eyes but nevertheless returned to Yorkshire a changed woman, got out of her own way, and dropped her “can’ts”. Don’t miss this story, it’s a corker.
https://www.facebook.com/louisefletcherart/
LISTEN HERE TO OWN IT #232 | Getting Out of Your Own Way: Louise Fletcher
Words Of The Week
Nicola chooses Moderate and Judith picks Ark.
Project Updates
Nicola has been spending £5 a day to promote the podcast on Facebook and notices increased download numbers but reduced ranking as Own It drops out of the Top 100. What’s that all about then? We have no idea! Yet…
Who Or What’s Impressed
Nicola loves Maria Korma who runs two local businesses in Stoupa including Maria’s Magical Mani. Nicola describes Maria as “exuberant, relentlessly upbeat and positive and a great advocate” for the local area with her FB Lives.

This week Judith has been thinking about how she would buy her next home and about the advice she gave her old friend about selling her business, and advising a client on how to structure a creative deal to sort out moving on from her home and going her separate way from her ex.
In The Show
Nicola’s enjoyed a reflective week, thinking about her family in England and whether or not to apply for a residency permit in Greece if Brexit goes ahead, or come home to be closer to her kids. Also she’s been engrossed in something new she’s learning and not managed to get out to the beach much due to some “funny” weather. Since getting out and about is the whole point of being there, well… you see her dilemma.
Judith has been out and about meeting a client friend for coffee at a beautiful garden centre, packing up to move to a new home tomorrow for the month of June and bagging some more housesitting gigs to look after cats Gracie, Pedro, Pixie, Smidge and Dizzy, thankfully spread across three homes, not all five cats in one which would be challenging to say the least.
What’s Fuelled Their Fire?
Nicola’s been engrossed in learning to trade with The Chart Guys, and Judith’s been advising a long-time friend a former employee how to sell her business, which inspires FOCUS of the Week.
Focus Of The Week
This week Judith has been thinking about how she would buy her next home and about the advice she gave her old friend about selling her business, and advising a client on how to structure a creative deal to sort out moving on from her home and going her separate way from her ex.
Judith refreshes Nicola of the basics of creating and negotiating any deal, reminds her she’s done one of those, and regales her with stories and examples. Nicola thinks her boundaries may be too squidgy (see word of the week) but Judith thinks this is about asking good open questions (like the best coaching), and working out what both parties want to achieve in their business and/or their life.
She also reminds Nicola that Own It! #207 was on a very similar topic: How to Buy A Business No Money Down, and challenges the listener to have a go, start simple! Or even help others on how to do it if this is your skill set. Don’t be hidebound by orthodoxy. This is a wonderful strategy for creative thinkers, people who make stuff happen and deal-makers.
Words Of The Week
Nicola chooses Boundaries and Judith picks Negotiation.
Project Updates
Nicola brings the listener up to speed with developments on her new website, the one she won a free design makeover for. But not the coding. Then she goes on to illustrate that she DOES know how to negotiate any creative deal!
Who Or What’s Impressed
Nicola is impressed when she realises she’s worked her way through the entire marketing funnel of The Chart Guys and ended up buying their $200 program and subscribing to their membership site at $99 a month. And, she says, they are not even internet marketers.
With permission from the sender to share her email anonymously, Judith reads the story of the minor and major wins shared by a listener who is grateful to have found via the podcast (and put into practice) the daily vibe-raising teachings of Esther and Abraham-Hicks on You Tube. The listener has practised it daily or almost daily since 7 th April until reporting her successes on 29 th May in the areas of health, wealth and good luck and happy accidents. It is an inspiring tale, not the first today.
