#295: Let Life Love You with Misty Tripoli

Today we are speaking with the Creator of The Groove Method™ and Body Groove and Founder of The World Groove Movement, Misty Tripoli. Misty is a Truth Warrior.  Misty has been a movement and dance addict her whole life. In the early 2000’s, at the top of her game and under contract with NIKE as a Global Elite Athlete, Director of a top health club in California and in demand working with companies like Reebok, Sketchers, YogaWorks and Equinox she was also severely bulimic, overworked and exhausted. She cracked.

When the illusion came crashing down she woke up to something extremely powerful and liberating: the Groove Truths. #294: Trusting the Process When *&%& Hits the Fan

In this "Monday mindset'' episode, how to trust the process when *&*$ hits the fan.  It is great to believe in trusting the process, knowing it’s all happening for you when you can take a global view of your life or when you are on the other side of a challenge.  When you are in the thick of it is an entirely different story. Let’s talk about how you can have faith when faith actually makes no sense at all. 

In today’s episode we discuss:1) Stop asking why, or asking questions that don't serve you. Victim questions serve no purpose at all and only keep you stuck in the moment and all of the emotions that go with that moment. 2) Ask what is this trying to teach me instead of why is this happening to me?  What lessons do I need to embody to create the changes I need to make?3) Reach out and ask for help.  Time block your schedule to build in down time before burnout, especially if you are dealing with a difficult time in your life.

#293: Authenticity Is Calling Yourself Out Too

In this Friday Facts episode, I want to talk about authenticity and how it is not just about the person you show to others, and sharing that authentic version.  It is also about calling yourself out on your own BS and not giving yourself a pass for the actions or behaviours that you know aren't in alignment with who you are and the direction you desire your life to move in. 

In today’s episode we discuss:1) According to Brene Brown, “Authenticity is a collection of choices that we have to make every day. It’s about the choice to show up and be real. The choice to be honest. The choice to let our true selves be seen.” When we don’t live in this space (or don’t allow ourselves to), we are stunting our own growth process.  Real growth doesn't come from finger pointing at others.  It comes from looking at the mirror, recognizing our triggers and owning what is ours to own. That is authenticity. 

2) Every relationship we have, stems from the relationship we are constantly building with ourselves.  The work always starts with us and we always go first.  So if we don’t think that we have real/authentic people in our lives, then it starts with asking ourselves if we are being honest, authentic and real with ourselves.

Meghan shares the journey of releasing, healing, alchemizing and ascending. 3) Doing the work with counsellors, coaches or mentors and being open to try so many different avenues to create change in our lives.  Learning to continue to do the work and stay in alignment with our values and beliefs decreases the space for resistance to creep in. The more we are out of alignment, the more space we give resistance to grow in our life. 4) Resistance is our greatest teacher and the more we can heal through that resistance there the more we can be set free and that is where our light resides.  We can heal through that resistance and trust that it is guiding us in the right direction.  When the resistance is present, ask the questions of , “what purpose is resistance here?”

#291: Stop Standing in Your Past 

In this "Monday mindset'' episode, we are chatting about whether you are standing in your past stories.  I have referred to the concept of standing IN vs standing ON our stories. When we are standing in our stories, we are stuck in the past, replaying scenarios that we can no longer control, fix or manage. Here’s a brief explanation of standing in vs standing on your story. 

In today’s episode we discuss:1) Standing IN your stories and the explanation I use is replaying the past over and over;  searching for answers to fix something that is done;  living in a space of blame, resistance, comparison or frustration;  feeling like life is not fair; using your energy to wish, hope and pray for it to all change on it’s own; holding yourself back as a victim of your circumstances; and literally keeping yourself stuck in your stories. 2) Learning how to stand on your stories means the following: living at cause in your life; living in full radical ownership for the choices you make, the actions, decisions and responses you give to your circumstances; being committed to your growth and expansion and surrounding yourself with people who fill you up and support your visions; knowing that life has happened and you would not be the person you are today without the stories and circumstances you’ve lived. It also means being able to look at your lessons and know that your pain serves a much higher purpose and the solutions you learned can actually impact, serve and support others as well as knowing with certainty that life is happening for you and you are ready to step into the driver's seat to create your life.3) When we are standing in our past we are keeping ourselves stuck in something we literally have no control over.  Commit to moving forward, opening a door, and closing the one behind you or own the fact that you are making the choice to stay in this space of no change. Learning to stand on your story is when it all changes.

#290: What You Envy in Others 

In this Friday Facts episode, I want to talk about envy and what it is telling you.  What you envy in others or you are bitter or jealous about is actually something you want and can have in your life.  You see in them what is possible for you. So instead of acting with bitterness look at it as a sign or permission for what you can accomplish. Jealousy and envy are extremely low on the vibrational frequency scale and it does nothing but bring your energy down further every single time. 

In today’s episode we discuss:1) According to Brene Brown, buying into envy means that when you see someone else’s success it takes away from your own. You believe that there is only so much success, money, love or friendship in the world.  It is a “lack” mentality. Jealousy arises at those times when we are at risk for lost connection, abandonment or betrayed trust.  Learning to view, see and recognize jealousy becomes the key to all that we are seeking in our lives. 

2) It is also an experience of looking outside of ourselves for everything.  This is scarcity culture, never enough likes, opportunities or experiences.  

3) What you see is a guide for what is possible.  Ask the questions, why is this triggering you, what is it showing you.  Triggers are our guidepost for what we are capable of creating. When we think we don’t have enough, what we are truly buying into is that we aren’t enough. Self-worth comes first.
