Welcome back to Own Your Revival🔥
What role do mentorship and community support play in shaping one's faith and journey through life? In this episode of the Own Your Revival podcast, Andy is joined by THREE special guests- Mike Czyz, Andrew Munger and Josh Fink- who will unpack the blessing of both in the creating of a transformative retreat experience for men. Hear from these three how the inspiration for the retreat became (in due time and with a little help from Matt Kleinschmitt) became an invitation to share the graces they received in service to other men in this unique experience for men: to be forged in faith together. Our hope is that this episode encourages you to follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit and if you feel led, to share this with others and encourage the men you care about to attend the retreat.

Welcome back to Own Your Revival🔥
Have you ever wondered what coaching is really like? Well, today's episode is going to give you a taste of it with my special guest and dear friend, Rachael Tvrdy, who is the Director of Family Life for the Diocese of Lincoln. On the heels of completing a Betrayal Trauma Religious Leader Training with the Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists, Rachael graciously agreed to come on the show and receive coaching in support of her launching a ministry to serve women affected by betrayal trauma.
Coaching is a future-focused collaboration and this session was to help Rachael create more clarity and empower her to begin the work she has so clearly been called to. If you've ever had an idea for a personal apostolate or ministry within the church to one day help others, we pray this episode inspires and encourages you to begin in God's good timing.
Please join me in keeping Rachael and the women she will serve in this ministry in your prayers. 🙏🏼
⭐️ Note/Disclaimer:
APSATS (The Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists) is a non-profit organization that provides professional training certification and research for partners of addicts and those who treat them. For the purposes of this podcast, the term sex addiction or sex addict is used synonymously with pornography or porn addict, or any compulsory sexual behavior. The model of APSATS differs from other sexual addiction models as it focuses on the traumatic impact of sexual addiction on the partner or spouse. As well, APSATS focuses on empirically researched theories and skills to effectively provide trauma-informed treatment for the partner or spouse.

Welcome back to Own Your Revival 🔥
My motto: Don't let a good wildlife invasion go without turning it into a teachable moment. Well, it is now anyway as we dive into today's topic of boundaries using some unwelcome visitors to my home as the example. Contrary to popular belief, boundaries are not about getting other people to change which often gets lost in translation. Understanding what boundaries are and how to utilize them are the hallmark of healthy, happy relationships. Join me to learn a rather practical application of this important life skill.

Waiting is not just a void; it serves a purpose in our spiritual and personal growth. God has a plan for us during these times, even when it feels like "nothing" is happening. This is particularly true when it comes to the significant life transitions we did not plan on or ask for in our lives. Drawing from a recent personal experience, Andy reflects on how patience and resilience can lead to growth and preparation for the next chapter of our lives.

Today's episode is a heartfelt love note to those who struggle with receiving blessings. Whether it's accepting compliments, help, or even God's love, many of us find it challenging to receive without feeling the need to give back immediately or discount the blessing. Often, we can be so focused on giving that we forget to make space to receive. Yet it's so important for us to recognize and embrace the goodness when it flows our way (even when that "good" comes disguised in anything but what we asked for.). Join me for a real world application of integrating those graces hot off the press from this past weekend with an invitation for you.

Navigating the tumultuous waters of divorce often requires women to tap into a masculine energy to address the challenges that arise particularly in the legal arena. Gone is the person who stood with you on your wedding day promising to love you and honor you all the days of your life. At a time when you need to draw strength to stand emotionally, financially, and physically, how do you still hold on to your femininity? How do you understand the difference in how men and women are created? And how can understanding those differences allow you to embrace your feminine qualities such as receptivity, intuition, and nurturing? As well as meet the masculine while also protecting your inherent femininity to build greater resilience even in the upheaval of divorce? Come join me on my front porch this morning to hear all about it.

What happens when two friends don't agree on the issues of the day 🗳️🇺🇸? Today's episode WILL help you think about how you want to engage around the differences of opinion which inevitably come up between friends, family, and others when important things are decided every 4 years (hint-hint). Not from some stranger on the internet, but those you have laughed with, cried with and shared hopes and dreams with at one point or another IRL as the kids say (in real life). We'll dust off my old friend from business school, The Sunk Cost Fallacy, along with some juicy journaling questions to help in evaluating the health of relationships when conversations around the issues of the day threaten to steal your peace and joy.
