173: Emily Louis discusses the issue of constantly seeking evidence and validation from external sources to prove our worth and sufficiency. She shares examples from her personal and professional life where she had been guilty of this behavior, and how she learned to ground herself in the knowledge that she is enough, irrespective of outside feedback.
The goal is to detach from the need for external validation and instead focus on doing what we are called to do, with the knowledge that we are enough.
This week, be mindful of the weight you give to positive and negative feedback in your life and work towards being grounded in your sufficiency.

172- How God sees you vs. how others see you. What's the difference? Emily Louis is here to tell you. When you own who God says you are, you're embracing the real YOU! Emily discusses the story of David and Goliath and how this is an example of how God's view of us is the truth. As the quote says, "David's brothers saw a Shepard. God saw a king." We all get judgement from others at some point, whether it's well intentioned or not, but letting God define you instead of others is key. God can oftentimes envision in us what others cannot yet see.

In this episode, Emily Louis addresses the struggles with opening up to others, particularly those who have hurt us in the past. 167 Disrupt that Negative Narrative..
In this episode, Emily talks about the negative narrative that we often associate with everyday acts. In a simple conversation with someone, who may be having a bad day, we assume that we've done something wrong or that we haven't been a good enough friend.
Our thoughts start to perpetuate our insecurities and we run this narrative of self-doubt. Emily gives some great advice on what steps to take when this happens.
Not every situation requires meaning to be assigned to it. When we're feeling that negativity or we're reading into something, Emily suggests that taking a step back and assessing the situation is an excellent place to start.

166 Do you want to be confident in God's promises?
Emily goes into an explanation of Exodus 12 about God's promises and how God words them in the past tense. She explains how amazing it is that God was so sure and so confident in our care that he told Moses and his brother Aaron that He will deliver them from Pharaoh. And He will bring them out of Egypt and they will celebrate with a feast on that day (the Passover) for generations to come.
He knows our past and he knows our future, and we can rest confidently in that knowledge.
