Today I have the pleasure of chatting with Alex Liegl, CEO of Layer1 Technologies. Alex and his company have made numerous headlines recently with the introduction of their turnkey, fully integrated Bitcoin mining data centers, or "Bitcoin batteries".   Alex explains how Layer1 is revolutionizing Bitcoin mining in North America by owning the entire Bitcoin mining stack, from chip to watt. We also discuss how setting up his facilities in west Texas allows them to sell energy back to the grid during peak demand, and stabilize the energy grid in hot summer months.  Alex gives us a view of what's in the future for Layer1 and how they plan to scale exponentially.
