Ozarks at Large

We hear how one community organization in northwest Arkansas is helping get out the vote for immigrants and minorities in the area, and we also hear from Miss Arkansas 2016 as she prepares to compete in the Miss America Pageant. Also, a conversation with Dr. Peter Ungar about the evolution of teeth, eating, and humans.

On this Labor Day edition of Ozarks, more music from the Fayetteville Roots Festival. In this hour, we hear music and conversation from John Moreland and Joe Purdy, recorded live at Fayetteville Public Library the Saturday morning of the festival.

Today's show is full of nature. We learn about the newly formed Cherokee Nation Fish and Wildlife Association, have our latest installment of Ozarkansas Fresh, and the band Nature and Madness stops by the studio to talk about music and to play a few songs.
