Today on the 5: I followed up Mortal Kombat with a movie that was wildly different: On The Silver Globe. This Polish sci-fi epic is challenging, beautiful, and alienating. I loved it, but it's clearly not for everyone.

Today on the 5: I watched the newest attempt to reboot Mortal Kombat in movie form. I expected some dumb fun action, but what I got was a movie that is a real puzzler to review.

Today on the 5: Apple announced a number of products during their Spring Loaded event. The one I was most interested in is also the rare case where I feel like Apple has leveraged the ecosystem perfectly and avoided charging a mint.

Today on the 5: Many in the gaming community were upset with comments made by one of the developers of a game called Days Gone. I can see a bit of where the dev had a point, but much of what he was saying is from a bad perspective.

Today on the 5: I watched one of the dumber movies in recent memory, the 1988 film Dead End City. It's like an Italian ripoff film that's just short of being hilarious.

Today on the 5: This Polygon post about the Muppets paired with my viewing the older Muppet Show episodes really got me thinking about how they could work better today. In my view, those episodes show exactly how to do it.
