Today on the 5: The Jussie Smollett trial is happening now, and many are commenting on it. Many are saying this case could damage how hate crimes are handled, which seems less about Smollett and more about how poorly the justice system currently works.

Today on the 5: I followed up The Innocents with a movie that turned out to be a hybrid of two genres I never imagined would fit together. What Have They Done To Your Daughters? is an extremely successful blend of giallo and poliziotteschi.

Today on the 5: Based on a recommendation from the fantastic Priscilla Page, I watched a movie called The Innocents . It truly is a stellar example of classic Hollywood cinema.

This week we're talking about the vampires, Home Sweet Home Alone, Cowboy Bebop, and Titane. Show music by HeartBeatHero and OGRE. Support the show!

Today on the 5: There's a clip floating around showing a character from Cowboy Bebop that many wondered about. The clip pretty much confirms my concerns about how the show would move to live action.

Today on the 5: The 2021 movie Titane made quite a splash when it hit the festival circuit. The film about a woman who is impregnated by a car was one I had to see, but it's quite different than you might think from the marketing around it.

Today on the 5: If you follow gaming news even a little, you've likely seen the less than stellar reception of the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy remasters. The remasters themselves are bad enough, but the fact that Rockstar allowed these versions to be released is even worse.

This week we're talking about the Uncanny X-Force, Volume 1: The Apocalypse Solution, Arcane, Rocky IV: Rocky Vs. Drago, and Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings. Show music by HeartBeatHero and OGRE. Support the show!

Today on the 5: I followed up the new Rocky IV version with Marvel's Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings. It was certainly another Marvel movie, for better or worse.

Today on the 5: I was completely unaware until late last week that Sylvester Stallone had re-cut a new version of Rocky IV. Based on what I read about that process, I knew I had to watch it.
