Today on the 5: I recently came across a game that sounds like it may be stunningly up my alley. It's a TTRPG titled VOID 1680 AM, and it appears to combine my love of live radio and weird fiction in a package that I am very curious to try out.

Today on the 5: Last week I was part of a Club Twit event and the topic of the environmental cost of generative tools came up towards the end. Host Anthony Nielsen made a reasonable point that the cost of thesee tools has little difference to running a high end computer at home. After thinking about it for a bit, I feel there is a difference, albeit an indirect one.

Today on the 5: For a while now, the only movies that seemed to make any money tended to be bloated budget IP rehashes or reboots. Blockbuster and sequel fatigue finally appear to be working on those too, so the success of an original film that cost under $100 million to make is good news to me!

Today on the 5: I saw news that a years long project to present a more polished version of Alien ³ had released their cut of the divisive film. Lando and I checked it out, and it's absolutely the best version of the movie either of us have seen.

Today on the 5: Aftermath recently ran a great article talking about why the work put into animation deserves more recognition. As someone who has often said this art form is criminally overlooked, I couldn't agree more.

Today on the 5: I saw a list of books that were recommended for fans of the AppleTV series Severance. and thought I'd have a look for something new to read. One of them, also titled Severance, has next to nothing to do with the show but sounded interesting anyway. I've read it, and it has definitely stuck with me.
