Today on the 5: Many people dislike Elon Musk for a number of different reasons. I think what bothers me most about him is how his continued failure to deliver on his promises is damaging the perception of electric vehicles in general.

Today on the 5: The stories about Netflix cancelling Kaos and the background turbulence in the making of the Adult Swim series Uzumaki were bouncing around in my head for a while. Eventually I figured out why I was linking them, and it (perhaps predictably) was because they relate to my frustration in how modern series are handled.

Today on the 5: You may have heard that Epic won in a fairly big way in a long running lawsuit against Google. Part of that ruling involves a very specific window of time that Google will need to need to host alternative app stores within the Play Store. That window is 3 years, and I'm very curious what will happen with other companies that have app stores after that period of time ends.

Today on the 5: Like friend of the show Ant Pruitt, I am generally not a person who enjoys musicals as a film genre. Up until now I had two exceptions to that rule, The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Voyage Of The Rock Aliens. Today on rhe 5: The Joker sequel is out, and so far it's been getting a decidedly mixed reaction. I was happy the first movie made money since it signaled that experimentation in the comic book movie space could work! That message might be ignored if the sequel is considered a bomb.

Today on the 5: I know that the website Gizmodo has had a rocky past, but I still enjoyed visiting the site fairly often. That changed this week when I noticed that in the "Latest" feed ads had tipped the 50% point.

Today on the 5: The story behind the 2024 film Chime might be stranger and more convouted than the movie itself, but it was made by Kiyoshi Kurosawa so I wanted to see it however I coiuld. What I got was 45 minutes of intensely atmospheric and tense horror, which didn't provide any easy answers but certainly lingered for a while after it ended.
