Today on the 5: While my wife and I have been sticking to board games a lot in recent years, there are still times where we like just firing up something digital and playing cooperatively. We've been playing through 2020's Sackboy A Big Adventure, and it is absolutely delightful.

Today on the 5: I have been hearing good things about 2023's American Fiction for a while now. I was already a fan of Jeffrey Wright, so I figured I'd watch the film once it hit streaming services. That was the plan, but then I decided I just wanted to watch it already and it was well worth the $20 rental!

Today on the 5: If you've been following the updates on the remake of Silent Hill 2, you might have seen some videos on the "combat trailer" that was released and the less than enthusiastic reactions to it. While I'm not overly optimistic about it myself, I wonder if this is one of those cases where no updated version would be anything other than a disppointment.

Today on the 5: On the most recent episode of Len Kabasinski's Forgotten Movie Den, we covered a 1983 film titled Thunder. While the premise might make you think it's just another Italian ripoff film, it's a movie that manages to stand above most entries in this genre.

Today on the 5: I wanted a break from the mental overload that was Mad Bull 34, so I decided to watch something from one of my comfort genres, the early 80s low budget weird slasher. I landed on one titled Mountaintop Motel Massacre. It has a lot of flaws, but it also delivered a rare selection of characters I really liked.

Today on the 5: I recently listened to an interview between a seemingly competent and intelligent journalist and the CEO of a major airline. The main topic was pollution and airplanes, and as you might expecrt, the CEO stuck to emphasizing the positive aspects of flying anf dodged the tougher questions. Once the segment concluded, I was left wondering the the purpose of it was.

Today on the 5: Over the weekend I finally got around to watching the first 2 parts of pretty infamous 4 episode OVA titled Mad Bull 34. I knew this series had a reputation for being extreme, but even so I was pretty stunned at how brutal it could be.
