Today on the 5: I finished Assassin's Creed Mirage a few days ago, playing through all of the main story and all of the side content (as far as I know). Aside from one small narrative caveat, I would recommend this game to anyone who preferred the earlier entries in the series.

Toay opn the 5: I was pretty thrilled to hear we'd finally be getting new, high definiton versions of some of James Cameron's older filmography like True Lies and The Abyss, movies that have been long out of print or available only in lower quality editions. That excitement has been dented pretty badly from reviews of the remasters showing that the upscaling work has altered the original imagery in a pretty negative way.

Today on the 5: Is it talking about the plot of a movie that's basically just a big blended ripoff of other movies still considered spoiling it? In the case of Rebel Moon: Part One - A Child Of Fire, it really doesn't matter because the visuals are what you'll be watching it for anyway. 

Today on the 5: For a long time, my gold standard for a book detailing the making of a film was the magnificent Future Noir. I have recently added a second title alongside that classic in the form of A Masterpiece in Disarray Book Review.

Today on the 5: News broke yesterday that the sixth season of What We Do In The Shadows will be the last. A lot of fans reacted to this announcement wiuth sadness, but in my opinion it might be the best thing that could happen to the show.

Today on the 5: Thanks to a pretty positive review in one of the recent Red Letter Media episodes, I followed up They Live By Night with something radically different. Today's review is for 2023's Aporia, a very well made movie about the ethics and fallout that can come from tampering with time.

Today on the 5: Once again the fantastic Criterion Channel has come through with an older film that I enjoyed immensely. They Live By Night was a recently added to a collection titled Holiday Noir, and while it certainly does feature Christmas as part of the story this is a movie that is great whenever you watch it. 

Today on the 5: Lando and I talked a bit about going back to Ghost Recon Breakpoint recently. Since i criticized Breakpoint not once, but twice when it origjnally came out I felt it was only fair to do an episode about how much better a game it is today.
